14. I'm reposting this post I made on another thread |
|
...I hope that's ok,
Politics is a currupt game (as we all know)
republicans are winning at this game in a huge way...
People have personally felt overwhelmed at some time or another in their life...so some people want to believe that his wife was merely overwhelmed with the entire matter..maybe that's true...who really knows, BUT BUT BUT
...tears, stress can often show it's ugly head when there is "some" truth to what's being alleged...for her to hear the words "bigot" upfront, like she did, may have triggered that "inner truth" ...that part of her husband that only she knows could possibly be true...a part she has spent her life defending against, but a part she knows in her own mind is there on some level. THIS CAN PROVOKE TEARS. If what was being said was a complete LIE, a complete fabrication, then tears may not be the response, what may be the response is a digging in of the heals and no tears.
So may I suggest that you EVALUATE "tears" on this level as well.

|
farce when they totally destroyed her husband and father, respectively!
They drug out every sordid, disgusting detail in technicolor and those two women had to sit there and take it EVERY FUCKING MINUTE OF EVERY FUCKING DAY for how fucking long???? They still do!
And they do it with a helluva lot more class than these republican fucking robot wives who would decimate the rights of WOMEN EVERYWHERE in deference to their insane husbands.
She better get a lot fucking better at handling criticism of her husband - that's what happens when you marry a woman-hating BIGOT.

|
Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 07:03 PM by Justitia
so friends, forgive my language here at DU - just lettin' my hair down a bit.
I have never been so angry as when all that was happening - never. I felt completely usurped and overthrown. I was incredulous that we were actually IMPEACHING A PRESIDENT over a consensual sex act. I am still flabbergasted today that it actually happened.
See, it still gets my blood pressure up! But, I digress...
All this cluck, cluck sympathy for a woman whose husband would make all women brood mares is bullshit. She should answer as to how she could ever be married to a knuckle-dragger like that. And sorry Mrs. Alito, if your husband wants to rule on the highest court on the land you need to learn how to suck it up real quick.
Ask Hillary and Chelsea for some lessons on decorum and dignified behavior - you have a long way to go!

|
Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 09:36 PM by Kurovski
with their black tax-accountant?
That motivation would make her actions at least rational on some level.
Please, Christ! Save us from all this bullshit!
EDIT: If Mrs Alito REALLY WAS upset because her husband is having an affair with a black/hispanic man or woman--or she herself is having an affair with a black/hispanic man or woman, and her husband forced her to cease and desist, thus having the "bigot" comments trigger an emotional reaction--I apologise.
I also apologise for that anaconda-like sentence.

I didn't even think of the two things you suggested. Graham was her husband's coach. She KNEW what he would say. It wasn't a surprise, they were prepped on the Q&A. She had a cue and she took it. Why else would she tear up over fawning? Heck, the repubs, including Graham, have been fawning over him for two days! All she's done is smile at them - until Graham's cue.

And now it's "The Dems just went too far!"
I don't know how Democrats are ever going to retake this country with these money grubbing GOP-loving corporations controlling the news. The bias is just mind boggling at this point and it makes me constantly step back and try to gauge if I'm so liberal now that I simply see everything on the "news" as having a right-wing slant...
