Were the neo-cons/rightwingers bullied as teens?
Could this be why they are so damned uptight and angry?

Think about it. These were the guys who clung to the button-down shirts, crew cuts and ties when the majority of their fellow young folks shrugged off those things.

The neo-con women probably hung onto those matching Bobbie Brooks skirt & sweater sets well into the 80's.

Could it be that these n-c kids were so afraid of disappointing their Moms & Dads that they resisted the urge to join in with the rest of us? Did we make fun of them?? (I cannot recall)..

Did they want to date the free spirited girls, and were rebuffed or humiliated?..

We know they were chicken about going to war, so maybe they were chicken about acting on their own repressed impulses.. Maybe they were belittled and embarrassed by their fellow classmates, and their response was to form their own little "squealer squad"..

Their anger and venom is so strong, that it seems to me that it HAS to come from some real psychic damage along the way. What's more damaging, than to be bullied, taunted or humiliated by a female you are lusting after?

Just sayin'...

1. No, I think they were THE bullies!
Think about it - why else do they resort to childish name calling when they try to have what's supposed to be an intelligent argument with us?

3. Of course. Victims don't become bullies. Bullies become bigger bullies.

5. Pa. Rep. Melissa Hart (Repub.) was butt of practical jokes by teens
I talked to a guy who went to high school and law school with her. In high school she was always desperately trying to be accepted by the ruling clique, and they would invite her to parties and give her bogus addresses in remote areas. Not nice, but why should she take it out on all us innocent citizens. She never had a date or a boyfriend that he knew of.

6. I think not being able to get a date may have something to do with it
for a lot of that crowd.

But most of them strike me as more of the bully type than the type to be bullied. Back when I was a kid, it was the smart, bookish kids who got bullied- the ones who were 'lame' enough to be interested in things like science and computers (and who are now pulling down huge salaries because of it). And the nonconformists.

No, your typical freep doesn't have the brainpower or the intellectual openmindedness to get into science or not conform. They're a pretty rigid, uptight, conformist bunch. My hunch is, they were the bullies, the abusers of small animals (look at Bush, the frog torturer) etc. etc.

7. I have always believed that was one of the root causes of the deep-seated
resentments that make some folks (neocons) just hang in the shadows and, content to await chance to exact their revenge on "them". You know, all those people that made light of their pathetic asses and those people who wanted to but didn't. In effect, the world at large. A dangerous pack.

14. Send Them To The Hague

Let them stand in judgement before the whole world.

The Hague will not impose the death penalty, but they will put them away, here:

And there are No pardons!

he was hoping that Nixon would get elected, a little neighborhood girl whipped his butt on the street because her famly was voting for JFK. Add on the facts that when he was 18 his parents got divorced and he found out that the man who raised him was not his biological father; Then when he was 30, his mother committed suicide. Those issues might have made him meaner, if not a bully, but I think the die was probably already cast if he was a Tricky Dick Nixon supporter at 9 years of age. Kind of scary!
