Yet another way the war in Iraq has weakened our country/security |
|
Heard this on NPR & I'm paraphrasing.
Due to the fact that the US military is so engaged in Iraq, we are not seen as a strong enough force -- indeed we are not strong enough because of Iraq -- to deal with the real nuclear threat posed by Iran.

Fuck them all. These scumbags will not succeed in using my flesh and blood for their warped "New World Order" bullshit! I will die not going to war, but standing for peace. I will refuse to be drafted and I am willing to sacrifice my life in jail.

2. I've been saying this all along. Bush is weak on terror because he has |
|
diverted all our resources to Iraq. Why isn't the National Guard guarding our nation? Why aren't we spending our time and money patrolling our shores, nuclear and chemical plants, ports, etc.

Iraq wasn't attacked because it was strong and dangerous. It was attacked because it was weak and available and the neocons thought it would be a quick victory.
So when Iraq ends up draining all our money, military and energy, and divides the country, what about those countries that aren't weak, that really are strong and dangerous?
Iran isn't a pretend country. It hasn't been weakened by a civil division and sanctions. It's a real country, bigger than Iraq, with a military ready to go. It isn't afraid. Thanks to Bush, we have no options.
