Newly-minted 'Christian' Katherine Harris in hot water over appropriation

A political strategist who left U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris's Senate campaign last month said Harris ignored her staff's recommendation to reject a defense contractor's $10 million appropriation request, now being challenged by a congressional watchdog group.

Harris insisted the request be submitted even though it was late and hard to understand, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel's Thursday editions. The newspaper cites Harris' former chief political strategist Ed Rollins.

"She told them she wanted it done," Rollins told the paper. "And she wanted it done now."

Harris spokesman Chris Ingram declined to comment Thursday when reached by The Associated Press. The Sentinel said Harris did not respond to its repeated inquiries.

4. Look who her mentors were........
jebbie, georgie and the rest of the bush cabal. Why would she NOT think she can do anything she damned well pleases. That's the way she was taught, to expect she'll get her way about everything and there won't be any consequences for her actions. Trouble is, she's not very high on the bush totem poll, in fact, she's not on it at all. The rules that apply to the bush's don't apply to her. She had some silly idea that they did. Poor Kate!

3. In the Handbook of Famous Campaign Train Wrecks, Katherine Harris'

bid for the Florida Senate ought to be the lead chapter.

What is this woman going to do next after she loses this Senate race to Bill Nelson?

As the weekend ends and early Monday comes on, I feel that Porter Goss is not going to challenge Nelson for that seat -- I think Goss has some difficulties with poker parties at the Watergate & that won't please the conservative GOP base.

Will Harris run to get the nomination in her Sarasota district again? Vern Buchanan has mounted a solid if horrifying campaign for the nomination already, and Democrat Jan Schneider is a strong, refreshing contender.

This is going to be a Deluxe Popcorn event.

5. oh sweet, this one might just come off the tracks
sounds like quid pro quo to me. I hope theres no way for her to backtrack out of that decision. Shine a light on it, find the payoff and she goes DOWN!
