Passport Question
When filling out a Passport application, in the section asking for information about your Spouse or former spouse, they ask this question: Date of Most Recent Marriage. Meaning here if you are divorced they want to know when your ex married her latest husband.

Is this for real? How are you supposed to know that?

3. Duh! And if you don't keep track of her activities?
That is, you don't know where she is or if she is married?

2. I assumed that was the date of MY most recent marriage.
Of course, I've only been married once and never divorced, so it's not that complicated for me.

I just pulled the application up online and looked at that section. I'm pretty sure they mean YOUR most recent marriage, not your ex-spouse's.

4. But all the other questions in that section
pertain to the spouse or former spouse. So why would only that one apply the applicant?

5. I too assumed it was about my most recent marriage and I got
my passport no problem.

6. I guess I never assumed all the questions were regarding my spouse
just my marital history.

Won't you submit it to a passport center (like the post office)? Why don't you just ask them to make sure. The other thing you can do is check online and see if they have detailed, item by item instructions.

Good luck! I just had to apply for a passport replacement because I couldn't find mine and we're leaving the country in 3 weeks. Where are you going?

7. Canada
Back and forth that is.
After 20 years of looking, I have found that one special person. She is a Canadian. There will be a lot of trips back & forth for both of us.
