Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

Left Wing History

Ray McGovern, the former CIA analyst who last week accused Rumsfeld of lying about pre-war intelligence,
has a long history of attacking the administration from the left.
McGovern co-founded Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, which encourages intelligence operatives to undermine the Bush administration by leaking classified information.

8. Of course the fuck not! That's the 1984'ish hilarity of it!
Edited on Mon May-08-06 09:23 PM by Harper_is_Bush
He's been a critic before...{implication is that therefore he has less cred}

logical failure occurs because a critic of Z will remain a critic of Z unless they don't remain true to original critisisms.

5. Maoists activists? LOLOLOL
"What's more, the Weekly Standard reports that McGovern served so-called "war crimes indictments" on the Bush White House in January on behalf of the left-wing group, Not in our Name, which was founded by revolutionary Maoist activists."

10. So where is the Maoist link?
I searched this website and I can't see anything remotely connected to Mao or communism. What am I missing?

11. I am a believer in reasoned investigation and debate...
but I would not waste my time with any subtle aspects of what Hume has to say. His stuff is too full of holes to bother with.

Let me know if you find the excuse for his likely illogical claim.

17. My guess
There is such a long list of signatories that somebody in one of those groups probably either vacationed in China once or dated a Chinese person, so they are obviously a pinko commie spy by Fox news standards.

21. Maoist activists?!?!
Oh sure, someone whose 27-year career in the CIA includes highlights like the following is definitely harboring sympathies with Maoists:

McGovern was a mid level officer in the CIA in the 1960s when his responsibilities included analysis of Soviet policy toward Vietnam. At this time, his contribution to CIA analysis was provided to Henry Kissinger during the Nixon era. McGovern was one of President Ronald Reagan's intelligence briefers from 1981-85 when he was in charge of preparing daily security briefs for the President, the Vice President, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Cabinet and National Security Advisor. He also briefed President George Herbert Walker Bush in the White House in the 1980’s.

McGovern is also a former CIA operations officer, making him a veteran of the CIA’s clandestine service, which manages the agency’s counterterrorism center, espionage and paramilitary operations.

Weekly Standard = Neocon RAG.

briefer with regular visits to the White House from 1988 to 2002.

Just like Joe Wilson who faced down Saddem Hussein is a liberal too.

All lies by Fox for Bush & company.

Edited on Mon May-08-06 09:23 PM by Triana
I want the TRUTH. Not Faux's or any other lamestream media outlet's idea of "fair and balanced" (NOT that Faux is anywhere near the moniker just because they use and abuse it).

W E * W A N T * T H E * T R U T H -- and if the lamestreamers don't have the integrity to report it then THANK GOD for people like Ray McGovern and Stephen Colbert, Mike Malloy, Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, Dan Rather, Keith Olbermann, Helen Thomas...

f*ck balanced. Truthseekers UNITE. Faux New be DAMNED.

19. Kick for truth to power.
I see folks wasting time trying to find proof for crazy conspiracies and it's depressing.

It's depressing becuase the truth passes them by. People like Ray McGovern is explaining it easy enough for a class of 6 year olds, and they just aren't paying attention.

Yes, the RWing excuses all the War Crimes of Rumsfailed, as well.

Some don't even address the lying issue, only attack McGovern.
