It was on a Socially Unresponsible Vehicle. The drive gave me a dirty look. Then I remembered I still have a Kerry sticker on my bumper.

11. There are way too many in Austin...
...and they're nearly always on big sedans, SUVs and ultra-expensive pickups I have a "No W" sticker on my car, and I get a fair number of rude gestures when I drive on MoPac or 360.

17. I saw one here in AZ a couple of weeks ago. Cracked me up.
Crusty little old man could barely reach the steering wheel, so he probably couldn't reach the sticker to take it off.

...but I still see a lot of SUVs with at least one of those oval "W'04" stickers on the back window.

All it probably says is how cheaply they made the official campaign stickers. Likely by design...they figured that Repugs would want to show their allegiance to W for a long time, but they would be less concerned with displaying their ticket for an election that would be over in a few months.

BTW, has anyone else noticed a distinct drop-off in yellow ribbon magnets over the past year? I guess supporting the troops isn't necessary once you're done with your election...

:grr:

28. I guess you're living in Paradise...I still see them here and there.
I'll admit there's considerably fewer than there were a year and a half ago, or so. The woman I see occasionally at the YMCA with the "Bush/Cheney Victory 2004" hat and sweatshirt combo was probably the most offensive thing I've seen personally. It's been a few months since I've seen even that, though.

31. Good for you.
I see one every two or three days -- way too much. I'm in the red Central Valley of California.

Those * stickers seem to be on either late-model SUVs/pickups or ancient Detroit clunkers.

The one I saw today was on something like a 1972 Torino.

44. Carlos Mencia said...
...actually it was not him but Peter Boyle, who was appearing on his show -- that the reason we see Bush/Cheney stickers at ALL these days is because the owners of the cars have not figured out how to remove them.

They certainly have dropped off since 2004. One doesn't see the Wastika that much these days, either.

Anecdotal, but I know a bunch of lifelong dedicated Republicans who speak of Monkey Boy, Cheney and Condi etc with venom that even exceeds my own. The nation is coming together in opposition to Bush. I just hope the Dems don't blow it as we approach -- although I am not holding my breath.... As we speak, the circular firing squad assembles once again, and Dems faint when anyone accuses them of not being nice or absolutely ideologically pure.
