What took them so long?
I'm seeing posts about neighbors and rightwing radio commentators who are finally seeing the light about Bush. They voted for him, twice in most cases, but now the scales have fallen from their eyes, etc.

I know I should be glad that it's happening at last, but all I can think is, What the fuck took you so long? The sleaziness and hollowness of the bastard were obvious to a lot of us years ago. Thanks to you, the country is in the toilet, and it's pulling the rest of the world in after it. So thanks for nothing, and fuck you.

1. I don't understand it either
and I wish I knew exactly what made this happen. The conservatives are complaining about the deficit spending but this has been happening since he got in so what's new about that? Maybe it is a cumulation of things but still it's not new.

2. Easy with an approval rating or 31% aWoL is poison. The Greedy Oil Party
does not want to admit he is their poster boy. When I hear them say that Trick down only works in URINALS is when I might give them a second look.
Till them FU GOP

3. They've turned on him over gas prices
The more they crawl out of the woodwork and explain themselves, the more obvious it is. They don't really regret voting for Bush**. Most of them regret that he hasn't lived up to their expectations -- outlawing abortion, a quick painless Iraq war, a solution to SS, no to Dubai Ports, tough on illegal immigration, institute an American theocracy...They call him a Liberal for these failures, for god's sake.

They're turning on him for these things only because he's causing them pain in the wallet area. They don't really care what he gets away with otherwise. This behavior is even more sickening than their incessant fawning over him over the last 5 years; it proves just how self-centered and ignorant the Republican rabble are.
