Bumpersticker or not. Should I or shouldn't I?
OK, I have some transparencies onto which I can print anything I like, using my inkjet printer. These transparencies are peel-and-stick, with not a whole lot of glue... so I think they would do well on the car, without doing any permanent damage.

And my car is white, so anything I post there would be nice and vivid.

I'm thinking my first message will be CHIMPEACH. I'm sure to get a lot of looks in this yuppie, rightwing town.

1. Just make sure no one trashes your car. They can be vicious.
No bumper sticker for me.

3. Same here. I was brave with my 17 1/2 year old truck
but my little econobox is sticker free.

After it gets its first dent, maybe.

5. I think the ink might run if it gets wet. Unless you plan to use another
transparency over it to protect it.

7. Impeachment is serious business...
Edited on Mon May-08-06 11:27 PM by TWriterD
and to me, the reference to "chimp" diminishes it. Those "yuppies" and perhaps others would probably be even less inclined to take the idea seriously if referring to their beloved Prez as a chimp were involved. Just my .02. Personally, I think the "Support Our Troops, Impeach Bush!" sticker packs a greater wallop:

And this one is clever and rather innocuous, but gets the message across:

I thought Charlotte voted "blue"?! Maybe I'm thinking Asheville...

On edit: I have a W sticker with a slash through it and noticed an increase in tailgating/aggression, so you may wanna factor that in as well!

11. LOL So Asheville and the Triangle are pretty much "it"...
for the entire state? Perhaps Wilmington? I'm relatively new here and all I know is that after a day trip to Sanford to visit some off-the-beaten-path nurseries, I was pretty stunned by all of the "Jesus" crosses nailed to trees and "abortion stops a beating heart" signs in some of the front yards. Not that I haven't seen it in rural areas of other states, there just seemed to be so much of it!

13. There are large blue pockets
...but the rest of the state is either beet red or old-line Democrat. And by old-line Democrat I mean the "Reepublikins-freed-them-cullerds" Democrats you thought either turned Republican or died. There are still a few who aren't aware that the Civil War ended.

15. You are in the Bible Belt, my friend.
With pockets of enlightenment. Triad is a bit mixed. Triangle is blue. Charlotte is red and dull, dull, dull. And down here near Fort Bragg? Forget about it - although there are signs of cracks in the red facade.

Winston-Salem is part of the Triad? I just glanced through the Mercer quality of living report, and W-S came in at 49, tied with Pittsburgh.

Posting the list in case anyone finds it interesting. First column is 2006, second is 2005. And most (if not all?) vote - no big surprise - "blue".

8. I say "go for it"!
The wind of change are a-blowin'....
catch the wind!

Of course, you might want to start with something SNEAKIER...
Something generically non-political yet rabble-rousingly CURRENT.

B*sh-supporters are just desperate for a mandate (ANY mandate) to
jump ship these days, so you might want to start slowly
with a sticker that draws them into random conversations...

And once you get them talking, you can pick ANY subject
to prove that B*shCabal™ is NOT on their side.

Edited on Tue May-09-06 12:12 AM by MercutioATC
...no problems yet.

In fact, I was walking back to my car at a local shopping center and a 15-year-old or so kid with his mother saw me open the door and said "cool car". I said "Thanks". Then, he said (with a smile) "cool bumper sticker".

Some kids DO get it.

I say go for it.

put that with the "Impeach Bush/Cheney" and that about says it all. Maybe a "Who Would Jesus Bomb?," too.

If you can peel them off without damage, lots of us would like to know the product number.
