I have a SERIOUS problem with the AP poll that everyone is touting

saying that a majority of Americans support Chimpy's wiretaps.

However, a new poll was done this week. A follow-up AP story says that by a margin of 56 to 42 percent, Americans think it was wrong for President Bush to wiretap U.S.-based terrorists without a court warrant.

Why aren't we hearing about THAT poll?

BTW -- Asshole Newsmax says that Dems were oversampled in the latter poll:

6. Did you see the questio that was asked?

It was loaded. Asked whether it was okay for * to wiretap on suspected terroist in America.

Did'nt ask whether it was ok to wiretap AMERICANS suspected of having ties to terrorist. Besides, if you have evidence to suspect an AMERICAN of wrongdoing, one does not need to illegally wiretap, take the evidence to a jugde and get the frikking warrant!!!!!

7. They asked the wrong question.

That AP poll asked "Do you think Bush should be allowed to wiretap phones?"

Duh, even I think he should.

THE PROBLEM IS......he did it in a way that was ILLEGAL, and WITHOUT a warrant! THAT is the most important part!! It's the crux of the whole matter.

Nobody's upset because he wiretapped people.

They're upset because, even when he could have gotten warrants up to THREE DAYS *AFTER* from a court that pretty much had approved every single request for a warrant in the past, he didn't even do that!

It's a bogus poll.
