The great big book of Bush administration lies.
I'm wondering, if we took every documented lie from this administration and assembled them into well-explained annotated book form, do you think this book would sell?

We know the book would be several hundred pages long. I'm thinking of doing this to raise funds for Democratic candidates. Anyone think this is a good idea (be honest)?

1. Books? Ha ha ha
"I'm sorry, but this reading initiative. I'm sorry, I've never been a fan of books. I don't trust them. They're all fact, no heart. I mean, they're elitist, telling us what is or isn't true, or what did or didn't happen."

2. How many volumes?
If you included the entire administration, you might be publishing an Brittanica size work.

3. The Bush Hater's Handbook
The title makes this excellent compendium of *'s sins sound like a rant, but it isn't. It's one of the best.

Issues presented in alphabetical order.

4. Yes, but keep the rights to the second printing for yourself.
When Bush goes to prison, it will suddenly become less of a hit piece and more of a textbook.

Bushit : An AZ Guide to the Bush Attack on Truth ...
Bushit is the book that Jack Huberman hoped he would never have to write.

"...The facts in the book are fairly indisputable, and read like the resume of somebody competing to be employee of the century in Hell. And before any conservative or neo-conservative readers begin to type out angry emails accusing me of a liberal bias, let me ask you one question: would you be so defensive of the holder of the office if these offenses were committed by a president whose name was Clinton or Kerry?.....Sometimes books like this are purchased, but never read. They're like a bumper sticker on your bookshelf: it declares your position, but it doesn't really offer cogent solutions. If Huberman were interested in solutions, he'd focus his attention less on this lame duck, and more on the upcoming midterm elections."

(I think of it as a reference book.)

Like I said - I bought it in January...so it already needs an update!

7. kinda reminds me of "lies & the lying liars who tell them"
political publishing seems to be rather hot the last number of years--there are tons of political books we can buy (which is great)

there also seems to be a subcategory of "anti republican" & anti-bush. which is also great.

i'm sure people would buy it--i have bought more books in the last four/five years than i bought i years (except kid books for my kid)

LIES OF THE DUBYA CABAL 2000-present (by KyuzoGator)

each freak gets a chapter
date/quote/location said/reference to where it was stated
then a short paragraph of the truth--(showing that their statement was a lie) and reference where the fact came from

there was a list of terror alerts on the internetz that dated the terror alert and then listed the possible reason there was a terror alert (that showed it had little to do with terror other than bush manipulating us again)

i think your book is a good idea

(don't know how you would assure readers that a percent of profit would go toward supporting the democratic party--maybe on the book cover--and who makes the donation (you or the publisher). find out how paul newman donates money to charities w/his spaghetti sauce)

8. Here's one...
All the President's Spin: George W. Bush, the Media, and the Truth. by Ben Fritz, Bryan Keefer, and Brendan Nyhan.

They founded spinsanity.com in 2001, a watchdog site for non-partisan analysis.

I'm only 1/3 into it, but I'm learning a lot. :)

9. Book? Nah.
You'd have a better chance for exposure to the American public if you got an American Idol contestant to sing a song about it.

10. turn it into a series of short books
make it real easy to absorb the dissonance. Maybe Part I, II, III,etc?

Or
"My Pet Goat, aka 9/11"
"Mission Accomplished, aka Quagmire"
"Happy Birthday McCain, aka Katrina"
"Treason, aka Plame affair"
"Crony-in-Chief"
