1. I believe he traded away Sammy Sosa

But they got a nice stadium, courtesy of the taxpayers.

2. I can't really fault him for Sosa anymore....
not that Bush was a great forecaster but there's a big difference between trading away a Hall of Famer and a cheater.

12. Whoever the GM at the time is who traded Sammy Sosa
Sammy was only there for a year anyway. The White Sox traded him to my beloved (although irritating) Cubs where he achieved great fame. It is doubtful bush had anything to do with the Sosa deal.

5. About as well as Arbusto
They were pretty much in last place the entire time. It really can't be blamed on him, since he was just a figurehead. That crap about him trading Sosa is ludicrous; he was getting paid to help steal land and drink beer in the owner's box. The real baseball people made trades and signed players; Smirky had nothing to do with it.

7. I always figured
he wasn't really in charge there, either. Just like now.

But I was only a wee little squeaker when he was in Arlington.

8. They still sucked
Being from the area and growing up watching them, I still love them, but some of the best players got traded or left. Arod (can't stand him), pudge. Ryan retired.

9. He was never boss
He had about a 10% interest in the team. He has failed at everything hw has ever done. You know that!
