This is an important date not just because it's the 32nd anniversary of Nixon leaving the White House in disgrace but also because, on the highly likely chance the little idiot is still president past this date, he would have outlasted Tricky Dick.

There is just something so wrong about the fact that this dumbass simpleton slacker with a single digit IQ could last longer than Nixon, an admitely intelligent man who had to work hard in life. Bleh.

Bush has one thing Nixon didn't - a rigged election system
Plus he and his cronies have top-loaded every federal agency with their loyalists.

If Nixon had this power he'd still be in office, even if he was dead.

2. Nixon knew when it was time to leave the office
This SOB is too stupid to step down. He thinks he is a king and what the people think does not matter.

3. Actually, Barry Goldwater had to TELL him
He didn't want to believe it, but Goldwater told him that he'd lost the small margin to keep him in power. Nixon wasn't a nice guy. That conversation with Billy Graham still stuns to this day--who could imagine he was that much of an asshole racist?

Fascinating listening, those Nixon tapes: http://www.c-span.org/executive/presidential/nixon.asp

5. Nixon's resignation was my best birthday present
I watched the entire hearings and cheered when he resigned. Let's hope that our Napoleon will be on his way to his Elba by then.
