Even Coulter's base is turning against her
If there was ever a sign that the harpy's time is running out this thread proves it.

Related to the release of her new book and her labeling anyone who believes in Darwinism as a "liberal".

I'm not good at transferring thread comments/replies but I think post 127 (for those interested) show that she's finally even pissing off her loyalists.

If she's finally saying something that pisses them off and finally opens their eyes to the fact that the peroxied shrew is a hack then I'm all for it.

2. Boys always feel like that after they orgasm
They feel dirty and ashamed, and transfer those feelings to whatever got them off. They'll be back with Little Arfin' Annie when they get hard up again.

Here's why...

"Darwinism" is a fabricated tool of the right...

Some would say a vote for a third party is a vote for a democrat...Given recent experience I would say a vote for a republican is like a vote for a democrat !

i read somewhere that they justify this by the dollar trending lower. so ten dollars five years from now is worth fifteen today. therefore they are 'reducing' the amount owed by putting it off. /s

Good gosh, that sounds like something they'd say. I'm not sure the sarcasm tag fits.

BTW, I have read numerous times about how we should still vote for our republican candidates, because it's better than a rat. I'd like to say that if you reward bad behavior, you'll get more of the same. The only way to get their attention is to fire them. Vote 3rd party, vote rat, stay home, whatever works for you. But if you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got.

12. Hee hee - it's fun to watch them debate over creationism
We here at DU have some really stupid disagreements, but "the Bible said so, and if you don't believe it, you're wrong" is not usually the base of our arguments.

14. Actually, you would be surprised.
There are a lot of hardcore atheists and Libertarians that are completely against religion, over at FR that put up some rather compelling arguments for evolution, and slap down the ID crowd there rather handily.

16. I saw that - must make for some fun threads
There are some doozy arguments here (ex: drug companies don't want to cure AIDS because they would lose money) but at least you never have to go up against the unwinnable "because the Bible says so".

Almost, except that they of their own free will have chosen to side with some of those twits.

Edited to add this beautiful comment I read over there:
I see that Coulter's undernourished body has finally resorted to burning brain tissue to keep itself going.

17. actually, this is the only interesting thread I've ever been directed
to read over there. Some interesting comments:

"If Humans are animals, then aren't animals humans? It only stands to reason."

All dogs are animals, but not all animals are dogs.

-----

"Then if some uppity geochemist or liberal godless paleostratigrapher tries to describe the physical evidence on Hannity and Colmbes, she can call them all kinds of catchy names like "god hater", "liberal" and "athiest".

Sort of reminiscent of what some people on this thread are doing to Coulter for her beliefs, eh?

-----

Your geochemists and paleostratigraphers are just human beings who will soon enough be rotting in their graves beside the rest of us lesser types, so while you place your faith in the nothingness of human intellect, Coulter's beliefs are rooted to that Which survives for all time. Her faith is lasting and true because true faith is believing that which cannot be seen, that which transcends the meager limits of human intellect. Conversely, the faith of humanism isn't faith at all, it's the antithesis of the true meaning of faith, because in the end they only believe in themselves.

I'd say that Coulter is infinitely smarter than all your Darwinist heros, because she has the wisdom to understand that her intellect, and that of all others, is fallable, imperfect, limited, maleable, and finite. Faith takes the faithful to limits unobtainable by science, liberalism, humanism or atheism.

-----

Coulter's beliefs are rooted to that Which survives for all time.

Really? I had no idea that TV ratings and book sales are rooted in that which survives for all time...
Wait. You *are* aware that Coulter is first and foremost an entertainer, don't you?

To: wideawake

Your arguments from incredulity mean nothing to me. Nothing whatsoever. I've never pretended that science has all the answers yet, nor do I have any problem with that.

Not that I'm conceding your descriptions of the fossil record. What I'm saying is that I reject your arguments from incredulity to begin with.

However, I'll make a deal with you. I will play along with your arguments from incredulity if you first answer a question for me: How do you rationally distinguish God from a phenomenon that does not exist?

-----

Darwinism and the Holy Scriptures are incompatible.

There are arguments galore on FreeRepublic over the evolution/creation debate. But, at the core of the arguments, that basic truth cannot be ignored.

To argue that the tenants of evolution/Darwinism are true is to argue that the Bible is wrong and filled with errors.

Those who argue that both are true are caught in the "No-Man's-Land" of outright inconsistencies and logical dead-ends.

This will be an interesting book.

To: wideawake

When Isaiah says that people are "like grasshoppers" he is using a simile - he is not saying that people are actually just grasshoppers, but that in comparison to God people are as inconsequential as grasshoppers are in comparison to people.

Actually, I think there is a darker meaning here. Grasshoppers formed a staple of the Middle Eastern diet (and are the only insect considered clean by Jews and Muslims). Therefore likening men to grasshoppers obviously meant that God would occasionally dine upon us.

To: Aquinasfan

The evidence in favor of the evolution is patently overwhelming. It's only ambiguous for those who willfully refuse to see the forest beyond the trees.

I mean of course, outside of the copies that are ordered in bulk to get her sales numbers up to the top of the New York Times bestseller list, where they sit in warehouses next to the Lost Arc Of The Covenant, collecting dust.

19. I love Creationist logic, as displayed as one of the first posts
Talking about how its not their position to prove a negative.

I always answer to that, "ok, then prove to me right now that God exists".

Thats when, suddenly, it becomes my job to prove a negative, all of a sudden.
