Pelosi is now an Open Government Democrat. |

She has been using that exact phrase "Open Government" recently on her signs and backdrops. That puts her in alignment with other notable Open Government leaders like Waxman, Conyers and Kucinich in the house, and Kerry, Boxer and Durbin in the Senate. Even Dean is now using Open Government as an issue for the DNC.
This is good news for the part of the Dem base who have been urging the issue of Open Government for years now. Pelosi as minority leader gets press opportunities some of the others don't.

It would've been a horrible move to use that term as a party leader up until now. Slowly, over the next 6 months, expect to see an increase in rhetoric and more clearly detailed plans for a Democratic Congress.
Everything... EV-RY-THING right now is mirroring the Republican's blueprint for 1994.

Hard to believe they ever really wanted the books actually opened by Clinton. Not that they had to worry - Clinton made sure that IranContra and BCCI books stayed closed so Poppy could have a "peaceful" retirement. Bah.
