"I certainly don't know....." Con Rice
"Well, I won't try to judge the motivations for the letter and I certainly don't know the ins and outs of internal Iranian politics. We choose to treat the Iranian Government as the Iranian Government and to respond accordingly." Con Rice

Isn't it her job to know "the ins and outs of internal Iranian politics"?

Explaining shit she had no idea about.

6. does anyone?
I wonder if this is a bad statement by her. It's possible no one knows who's got power to negotiate and communicate in Iran. I mean it happen in the cold war from time to time that it was impossible to know who was really talking for whom in the Soviet Union.

7. Seems to be an honest statement.
She admitts to being ingorant. That is a step forward. Now she should resign because she is not competent. She should have never been confirmed as Sec. of State. Her miserable performance as NSA should have barred her from being S of S but the Rethugs and most Dems voted for her in spite of that.

10. The problem is
Is there anyone more qualified that would be asked to replace her? No. She apparently is the best and the brightest of the bunch. Scary thought.

Sure sounds like it's going to be hard to try diplomatic channels to solve the situation when at the moment we don't know the Iranian diplomatic process.

8. Well, like Chimp said,: there's inside words, and outside words
Sometimes inside words get outside. Or was that a skit on SNL?
