If Bush wasn't already toast, he will be if this story is true!

This President is now officially a FAILURE should this story be verified.

The Republican Party is in the toaster and getting warmer heading toward full toasting.

Butter and jelly anyone?

If This is true, President Bush should not wonder why his approval ratings are falling.

Agreed. The actions of this administration leave me dumbfounded. It is as though they want to loose the House in 06. It reminds me of his dad looking at his debate with Clinton where he stares down at his watch. The very second Bush41 reneged on the "read my lips, no new taxes" I knew he wasn't a true conservative. Bush's closest adviser is his wife, she is with him every night. I really don't know where she stands on many social issues but it is easy to see in the past where "nagging" wives have influenced their President husbands. I am not saying it in this case. However, someone with Coolidge's understanding of the Constitution would have done everything in their power to get rid, for example, the wholly unconstitutional Dept of Education. Anyone who cherishes Liberty and love of small government would never support unwieldy bureaucracies. To truly have the citizens educated we must separate State and school. Back on topic. I have tried and tried to understand why Bush is neglecting his base. I can only conclude he is either not truly a conservative or someone close is influencing him to be more socialist. Any way, I found this latest revelation, if true, to be absolutely disgusting.

This is unbelievable. Treason of the highest order! I can't believe I voted for this president... twice! I had no idea that Bush would not only ignore the border situation completely, but to actively work against LEGAL citizens of this country who are LEGALLY protecting our borders and people of this country. All for what?! Cheap labor and votes? Good lord... I thought it couldn't get any worse than Clinton! If I never hear of the name Bush again, it'll be too soon.

that he wasn't a "true conservative". It's the only out they have because Bush has so thoroughly discredited their ideology.

90. Bush may not be "racist" at all.
That is, I doubt he'd treat a poor white man any better than a poor man of another color. He really only cares for "the right people." That group tends toward whiteness, but includes Ms Rice & the Attorney General.

However, his people are glad to use racism as a political tool.

If the American gov't is against us, who's on our side?

Seriously folks, I haven't gotten a real response on this, but are we doomed to fight against a growing monster of a federal gov't? Is the Republic in which we live slowly turning into a nanny state that Reagan warned us about? I don't see any hope for the future of this country past 2008. If Bush has failed us, what's next?

Edited on Tue May-09-06 10:57 PM by OnionPatch
I thought what they wanted was a nanny state. Let's see, the government decides who is allow or not allowed to marry, the pharmacist, with the support of the government, can decide what birth control we are allowed to use. The government can decide which plants that grow naturally in our lands are allowed to be used medicinally, the government they want would make our kids pray in school. The sale of sex toys is being outlawed in several states....Heck, last I checked, Ohio was about to have uterus checks at the border, and they don't think their agenda leads to a "nanny" state?

47. Maybe, just maybe the Freeps and the Libs will...
...finally come together, and it will be on this issue.

Junior is a Fascist. He'll spy on anyone, invade their privacy, put them on an enemies
list, and violate their privacy and Constitutional rights.

So far, it's been the libs with the problems--because we're the ones against Junior. However,
Junior will do this to anyone who crosses his path, makes him look bad or creates paranoia in him.

Maybe the Freeps will realize that this is not good for the country. It's real easy to look
the other way when Junior is inhibiting the free speech of libs and spying on progressives. Sometimes it takes an infraction in your own backyard, for you to realize how serious the situation is.

I think this discourse is positive. Maybe we can find some common ground. We were never
against someone with a conservative agenda. We are against this sick, Fascist, lying bastard who could care less about Democracy and our Constitution. Maybe now the Freeps will see Junior for who he is.

I don't necessarily think that a conservative in the White House is a bad thing. However, Junior is NOT a conservative. He's a very sick, lying, power mongering bastard.

Maybe--just maybe--Junior may be the big "uniter" that he's always bragged about. Maybe America will finally wake up and see that this man is pure poison.

We all love America--Dems, Reps, Libs, Cons. We may not always agree on how to do things in America. I'm hoping that soon--everyone will see that Junior is not good for anyone.

Junior doing this is reckless, but it's a positive that others are able to see what we've seen all along.

61. I AM against Corporate Owned "Trickle Down" CONSERVATIVES....
Democrat OR Republican...AND I don't want either in the White House OR in the Democratic Party.
Now is NOT the time to rehabilitate Conservatism.
NOW is the time to drive a stake through CONSERVATISM'S Selfish, Black Heart!!!!

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

51. It's always a woman's fault
something goes wrong, blame the nearest liberal or woman. The FIRST reason that conservatism is a bankrupt philosophy(ies) is that the adherents lack a method of accurate self-appraisal. And they call themselves the "party of personal responibility." Pfft. The party of personal destruction is more like it.

Edited on Tue May-09-06 10:26 PM by SeattleGirl
like what the Minutemen are doing, I do feel like a couple of other posters on this thread: it's flat out wrong for the United States Government to do what they are doing, and especially, as is the case here, to turn over what they are finding out to a foreign government. And no, the freepers weren't yelling and shouting when the spying was on liberal and peace activist groups and individuals. But now that it's being done to the Minutemen, the big ugly truth about this Administration has crashed full speed through their front door, and they are finally able to SEE.

So, even though philosophically I couldn't be farther apart from the freepers on the issues, on this one, I am glad to see that they are pissed off. As the bumper sticker says, "If you're not pissed off, you're not paying attention." Finally, they are getting pissed off at something that should piss off EVERY American!

My point in my post was that these folks are waking up and seeing Bush for who/what he really is. Too bad they were asleep in 2000 and 2004, but if enough of them wake up before November, that's fine with me.

BTW, I love your graphic!

83. But they aren't really waking up.
They still have no respect for civil liberties. They're still fascist assholes who have no problem with using the government to spy on, unjustly arrest, torture, etc., anyone who is not "on the team". They're just suddenly understanding that the Bush Administration doesn't actually consider Freepers to be part of the team. They've found out too late, of course. Their kind always does. Just one more thing they have in common with Hitler's Brownshirts.

I don't have one ounce of respect for these cowardly pigs. They haven't changed a bit.

91. You are exactly correct.
They're gleeful to sell anyone else's rights down the river, but boy do their petticoats go flying in all directions when someone dares to step on their rights. They're mourning the fact that they were double crossed by their "glorious godly leader." All they are left with is:

"When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out."

For the Freeps, no one was able to speak out for them because like good little brown shirts, they had turned everyone else in.

84. Hey Freeps, welcome to our world!
This shit has been going on to the left and progressive groups for decades now, but hey, you didn't seem to mind that, in fact I recall several, if not most of you thinking it was a good thing that the government was spying on those "godless, unamerican commie liberals":eyes: But boy howdy, it sure does suck when the other shoe drops, doesn't it.

So is it getting through those thick skulls yet, is light starting to dawn over Rock Mountain? Are you finally realizing that the ones who are truly Un American, the ones who really don't have this country's best interests at heart aren't on the left, but instead they're in our government, and in the boardrooms of corporations both here and abroad. Are you getting the picture yet? Good, now perhaps you'll put down those pitchforks you've been trying to stick us with, and instead join us and help take back our government for we the people.

How many freepers fit in the elite category? Very few no doubt.

So the freepers finally woke up, smelled the coffee and got a clue that * doesn't give a damn about them!

What do you know, it's really the rich elite with * at the helm who are giving THEIR jobs away and spying on them!

Now the freepers know how the rest of us have been feeling all these years while at the mercy of these evil bastards!

Pay back's a bitch now ain't it?!
