For My D.C. folks...did any of you just watch NBC-4 News?

I was just watching the 11:00 news on Channel 4, and Jim Vance reporting on the Alito hearings today.

And I'm really upset at how it was reported.

He started off talking about how emotionally charged the hearing was today (cry me a river!).

And they showed the clip of Mrs. Alito's meltdown.

And then Jim Vance said something about the tears coming over questions about Alito's affiliation with CAP.

And he says something about that just being one of the attacks that the Dems threw at Alito.

There was NO mention of the fact that her tears came while Lindsey Graham was heaping praise on her husband.

Did anyone else see this?

I thought it was very irresponsible reporting, and I'm definitely going to contact NBC-4 news.

4. I bet he just read the copy....He probably didn't write the copy...

But I felt that it was just very irresponsible journalism, no matter who wrote it.

It came off as though the Dems were attacking Alito and sent his wife into tears. If I didn't know any better, that's what I would have taken away from that report.

I hope some of my D.C. folks who watch the 11:00 news can let me know if they got the same vibe.

6. Just saw the NYC version WNBC4...

The coverage ( non-coverage, actually) was *identical*. Here they added the observations of their "political correspondent, a certifiable moron named Jay D. Flapper ( or something close).

Flapper's "insight" was that the DEMS were reduced to throwing 'hail mary' passes, and Alito was as good as confirmed.

Then it was on to the next nonsense story . Result: no one who didn't watch the coverage live or hasn't read the transcript knows how it really went down.

Most people get their news from such sources.

Not good.
