Do any schools really use Howard Zinn's "People's History" as a textbook? |
|
a U.S. history text that is? I've seen it on the Soprano's- the school that A.J. goes to(one of them, anyway) apparently uses it...but do any use it in the real world? I don't have kids, and it's been over a quarter-century since i was in a high-school history class. I'd LOVE to see the Zinn book being used- but for white americans especially it really can be some difficult reading- if you have a conscience and a soul.
does anyone know of any schools that use it?
do you think that it should be more widely used?

1. I would love it if some did. |

It should be required reading for every school. But the righties would never let that happen.

The big book is Boorstin, et al., but everyone has assigned readings out of Zinn.
