2. Just a side note - sorry no RFA story
I was just thinking that I have never even encountered an RFA, not even our Canadian variety. And there are quite a few.

I have never heard anyone say, "Y'know, that Bush, he's got the right idea". Or anything remotely similar.

Ever.

It's always been said that the ONE thing that unites Canada it's distrust of anything from Toronto or The US.

Now, we've all had complaints in the past about US "attitudes" towards us (when we're not being ignored completely). And we've had to endure some pretty odious ambassadors lately.

But Shrub is... something... else... entirely.

The reason Canada-US relations are the worst they've been in a while is... * IS AN IDIOT! He's no kind of role model for any thinking, rational, oxygen-breathing hominid.

Sorry for the semi-rant. And now, back to your regular programming.

I don't even think The Boy Tony actually likes the idiot. What's to like?

6. Yeah, makes it kind of hard
to rage against the machine if everybody agrees with you, doesn't it? In my own little pocket of the country, I'm sort of on a one-woman mission to reinforce the views people already have about the Republicans in general and the Dumbass (and his neo-con cronies) in particular, just to remind them never to let their guard down.

Tony is a whore. He'll just go along with whoever is president, from whichever party. I don't think it matters to him one way or the other. He's probably still fantasising about becoming a rock star. All form and no substance.

7. OK, I'll share mine
OK, I know this will probably be pretty weak compared with other smackdowns, but here is mine.

I live in Freeperville (Fresno). During the summer of 2004, I was waiting in the park to catch a bus.
A lady with a clipboard and a box of candy walks up to me and asked me if I was registered to vote and I told her that yes, I am registered to vote. She told me that she would give me candy (seriously) if I agreed to take a survey and promised to vote for Bush. I told her that I would absolutely NOT be voting Bush, but thanks anyway. Then she told me she would give me candy if I just agreed to take a survey. I told her that "my mom always told me never to take candy from strange Republicans" and I walked away. ;-)

Sorry, that's the best I got (I realize I should have told her where she could stick her Republican candy, but I'm too mild mannered for that).

11. I'm sure it is
I'm sure it is, but when has any Republican worried about technicalities like the law? ;-)

12. She gave me a dirty look.
She looked like she was going to say something back which is why I walked away. Here in Fresno, she probably was not expecting a reply like I gave her.
