The Delusional World of Neocon Make-Believe...
'Laura Bush's latest comments reveal just how deluded and out of the reality loop the Neocon puppets are.

Interviewed on Fox News Sunday, Laura Bush said she did not think people were losing confidence in President George W. Bush, despite a series of polls showing support for him at its lowest point in his five-year presidency and among the lowest for any president in the past 50 years.

"I don't really believe those polls. I travel around the country. I see people, I see their responses to my husband. I see their response to me," she said.'

11. That was my first thought as well.
Living in a bubble screws up your sense of reality, that is if Pickles ever had one.

She doesn't know that the Party and the SS makes sure that only the Party faithful and rabid BushBots get within 10 miles of Dear Leader and the beloved 1st Lady. No wonder she always look like she is out there on Pluto.

10. Well Pickles sure didn't have a problem with polls
When the Puffy DipShit was having his numbers padded every week to keep in line with his alleged election victory.

Yet, Republicans and Right Wing pundits (male prostitute, partisan attack dogs, corporate backed loons) kept parroting over and over how Democrats were 'divorced from reality' or 'disconnected from reality.' Well, Cracked Pot, meet Cracked Kettle.

15. she mentioned as well that no fuss was made when her husband's...
numbers were high, she neglected to mention as well in passing; that her husband has virtually squandered whatever support he enjoyed with the american people by being a phony cowboy, neo-con dip-shit

7. The Bushies have always been out of it...
Poppy didn't have a clue that there were product scanners in grocery stores until he left the ivory tower of the White House. These people are completely and thoroughly insulated from the outside world. As matriach Babs avers, they just don't trouble their "beautiful minds" over reality. :puke:

14. neocon amoralism
sold by a pliant...

"corporate media has substituted its own commercial productions for our culture, its endless presentation of visual image for what was once our hands-on reality and lived experience, its uniformly conformed behavior for what was once actual acceptance by society. Most of what we have contact with in our modern world is not even reality--people, events, etc.--but media images we sit and look at, mute. The threat is when they flip these things around to mean--and serve--anything they want, and you don't even know things are being thus distorted, and not just presented plainly."

30. Hi, sweetheart
"Hi, sweetheart"--rather personal there. That was very exciting, to be quoted there, and I also appreciate your wonderful comments on the "Postmodern" thread. That ended up being a great thread, at least from all those people who bothered trying to explain themselves and their opinions, and do research on things, etc. You really could read over that thread carefully, and end up with some real knowledge on the different angles of this subject, no matter which of many sides you took. That'll be a thread DUers will tell their grandchildren about....Or maybe not.

This is the difference between somebody who reverts to a fantasy world by running away from the real surrounding world, and shutting it out, and, as with the neocon corporate Republicans/Bush Administration, a privileged ruling class that tries to kill the country we once knew and replace it with the global corporate empire's "marching orders," covering everything over with their propaganda and censorship, until you can't even remember that there was ever a culture or society based on people, but who got themselves entrapped in their own lies and hype. "They believed their own publicity," to use the old line.

It reminds me of the "Potemkin Villages" of the reign of I think it was Catherine the Great, in Russia. Whenever Catherine the Great (I think) would go out riding with her entourage in the countryside, to meet the peasants who supposedly loved her, unbeknownst to her, beforehand, her own "Administration" had constructed totally fake villages--with false fronts, where nobody actually lived--and that was the area where they would drive her around in. No real peasants, most of whom were destitute, even starving, were ever met. She never faced the true squalor of the country. Just like Bush's fake, paid "reporters" asking fake softball "questions," until they were exposed, and the fake, pre-screened "audiences" who only smile and cheer and ask favorable questions, after having signed "loyalty oaths" beforehand. Couple that with a corporate media that they themselves own, telling us all how "brilliant" Republicans are, and censoring every scandal that comes up--or would have, if we had had a free press--and this group became what privileged rich people always become: full of themselves, and believing that the hype that they themselves invented, had somehow come from somewhere else. Also like these offensive commercials on their media, where THEY tell US that this is "a brand name we trust." They pretend to be our opinion, giving us the orders...creepy. There IS only the sould of their voice.

"Rove is so brilliant," Democrats are "angry--brilliant"; "Republicans love NASCAR--brilliant"; "Why do liberals hate America?--brilliant"; "too liberal for America--brilliant"; no matter how stupid, how disconnected from the real world, a corporate media every bit as disconnected called it "brilliant," and as soon as anyone started exposing the truth, the crimes, the persecutions, the spying on Americans themselves by the millions, the people were outraged, the poll numbers plummeted, and the house of cards fell--just like that. If anyone had been able to get sustained, unbiased news coverage out to the American people before this, then it could have happened then, and we would have been spared all this further trauma and destruction.

17. "I meet with people all over America"
she told Stephanopolis. "And they think we are doing the right thing. They're happy that girls in Afghanistan can read." She was pushing her wonderful "I care about the education of children in the Mideast" kick, even saying she was a feminist if I heard her correctly.

In her syrupy responses to Georgie S's questions, she assured America that everyone is happy with her Nitwit husband.

She really is in fantasy land. But she's really all they've got that's still "pure" enough to put out there to answer questions. And Americans are laughing at her sorry ass as she denies the existence of a vast majority of people pissed off at her precious Dumbya.

Sad that they are so desperate for "good news" out of their bloodbaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, they send Queen Prozac out to make it seem like the lives of those poor people are "all better now thanks to the Bushes!"

Disgusting and predictable.

26. If you recall the presidency of Papa Bush, it was the same exact thing.
He hadn't a clue of how the people in our country lived. Two things I remember vividly. The first being that when we were going through a gas crunch then, he would take his massive Cigarette Boat out every weekend, burning up tons of gas. (Like son Georgie..taking AFO all over the friggin' place to spread propaganda). I also recall Papa Bush, while campaigning for re-election, going into a K-Mart, and marveling at the register scanners. He had no idea they existed! It was just so damned weird.
