Name one Positive thing about Bush
I am racking my brain here and coming up empty. I feel like there should be something out there that i can say, hey, you know, I disagree with Bush a lot, but there is this one time when ________.

Has he ever endorsed something good? Maybe sent money to fund something positive?

Nixon had the clean air act.

Honestly i cannot think of a single thing, what a train wreck this guy is! I feel like i should be able to come up with ONE thing that maybe wasn't so bad!

No such luck!

Also his administration has been such a comprehensive failure that Jeb's chances are greatly reduced of ever going after the top job. It's an inadvertent blessing.

70. well not positive per se
What i am trying to do is, i tend to talk to a lot or rabid bush supporters, who just accuse me of being a bush hater. So I am just seeing if there is anything out there.

From what i read here, everyone is also at a loss. I mean, at least with reagan i can say, you know, that speech in germany, top notch (even thoough he was an actor). There isn't really one thing i can say that bush has done that i am like, yes, pat on back. Not even his 9-11 speech was up to par, the whole christian theme ticked me off.

I guess as someone said here, the do not call list might be one. MIGHT.

79. isn't that sad?
That a human being could be such a fuckup and worthless useless person.

And hes actually considered the president!

For a guy who spends his days sleeping late, clearing brush, and generally thinking other people are going to handle it, he sure fucks up a lot of things.

Maybe thats the problem, the captain is not manning the ship. He is not delegating or coordinating anything.

I always wondered if bush supporters actually think he DOES anything?

37. there is ONE thing - residential solar tax credits
he signed legislation to enact tax credits for the purchase of residential solar energy systems.

it is ironic that we didn't get any tax credits under Clinton and we did under Bush. I guess they were just "throwing us a bone" while they raid the treasury.

but the bottom line is, there is federal financial assistance for solar now, and there wasn't when he came to office.

other than that, he's worthless.

couldn't get on board with his rhetorical jive. He's ALWAYS been unworthy of the office; terrifyingly so.
The one thing I'm grateful for, however, is that he isn't just a BAD president, he's a stupid, lying, brain-dead, tyrant, and IT'S OBVIOUS .
If these goddamned bunglers had been this evil and corrupt, but also COMPETENT, we'd be in much more jeopardy, I think.
Many could see through his act all along; and through their horrific landslide of boobery and GLARING faux pas, the rest are beginning to see the light...Jeebus be praised.

I can think of several:

He's charismatic, affable, outstanding memory (better even than WJ Clinton's for names and faces), funny (in a "frat boy partying" sense; not so much in a one liner or joke-telling sense), loyal to his friends. The problem is he did not use his powers for good. Nor even for awesome.

62. He perseveres in the face of overwhelming opposition from reality.
Honestly, I'm not sure that Bush has any redeeming qualities. He makes Nixon look good in comparison. Every idea he's had or endorsed that I would agree with, he eventually fucked up, gutted, double-crossed, or ignored. Afghanistan, education reform, intelligence, the space program, you name it, if it was positive he ended up fucking it up worse than it was before. The best thing I can say about him is that he never gives up on his ideas, no matter the odds or the opposition. Pity that couldn't be applied to something good.
