My governor has found a way to promote responsibility among teens
:eyes:

Looks like he's the biggest drunk in the house (the old bastard wearing the visor)

"The event's mission, Perdue said, was to encourage responsible behavior for teens and reward the suburban Atlanta high school for its creative efforts to tackle underage drinking."

2. Sorry, I don't care what the context is,
It's just a bit creepy for old politicians to be partying down with underage teenage girls.

What's with the visor? He looks like he's dressed to work at a fast food joint. :(

6. There's nothing wrong with that
Honestly, the lengths people will go to bash somebody gets a little ridiculous sometimes. Sober graduation events have been held in the rest of the country for years, I hope they aren't just now reaching Atlanta. In any event, good for his encouragement, it's what a governor is supposed to do and I don't care what party they're from.

8. sandnsea I agree completely.
Why is it a problem for the elderly to be involved with kids. Looks to me like everyone is having a great time without being drunk. That was the point wasn't it?

9. that rat bastard is in the pockets of the gas companies
and he STOLE the governorship, along with Saxby Chambliss stealing Max Cleland's senate seat.

Purdue ran exclusively on the racist flag issue.

So, if you don't mind, I'll bash the mother fucker any time I want for which ever issue I want.

11. Looks like a diversion to me
I bet they love it every time attention is taken away from the real crimes they're committing. But whatever, knock yourself out making an issue of nothing while people are still blind to the real problems.

15. It is a diversion and the "press" in Atlanta eat it up while continuing to
ignore Sonny's outrageous lies. He has a new tv ad out now accusing our previous Dem gov of bankrupting the state. The ad's claims have been proven false and it basically amounts to him being a big fat liar, but he still hasn't pulled the ads. The only place you hear his lying claims being refuted is around the blogosphere and in some editorials where people who do pay attention set the record straight.

Knowing what you know about Georgia, how much of this state's population do you think reads these editorials? A hell of a lot less than watch these stupid tv ads and believe them because the Dem party won't run counter ones to refute it.

One of the major claims that this ad makes is how Sonny has reduced wasteful spending, negating to mention that Georgia's taxpayers have to pick up the cost of his helicopter rides to the capital and now the maintenance and upkeep of a party at the GA Governor's Mansion - a mansion that belongs to me just as much as him. I don't recall him asking my permission to have a party there...

We live here. We'll bitch all we want.

17. So why aren't you focusing on that???
Why post this stupid shit about a party? Way to help them divert attention. Where's the group raising money to run ads to refute theirs?? Why aren't you posting that? Because lord knows nobody else can "come down there" and do anything, we've all been told on a daily basis that we're not wanted.

18. Because posting the "stupid shit" truth is getting us nowhere
Where's the group raising money to counter this ad? We'd like to know that too. Last year, the GDP raised over 1m at the JJ Dinner. Where did that money go?

We come here to point out the absurdity of our idiot governor one more time for everyone else to see what we're dealing with here. And I love the assumption on your part that none of us are doing anything. I'm a State Committee Member for the Democratic Party of Georgia and I am very aware at how bad our party is doing right now. Hell, Sonny doesn't have to run ads to beat us. We'll beat ourselves.

But you can feel free to come on down and do something. And bring your checkbook.

20. Aw gee, thanks
Howard Dean, with money out of our checkbooks, is spending millions to pay workers to "come on down". But you guys can't even create your own group to raise money to run ads? And then you want to blame US because you "beat yourselves"?

Keep focusing on stupid shit and see how much that helps your cause.

21. I am well aware of your "dislike" of the South
But here's my advice to you: stick with something you might actually know what you're talking about.

When you live here and know the ins and outs of what is going on, then we'll ask for your suggestions. Until then....I think you know how this will end.
