Bush is the figure head and the GOP is the manifestation

Every time I start to fume about Bush & co., and the terrible deeds that they are perpetuating...I have to remind myself that this is a culmination of a very long cycle. No question, the Bush adminstration & the GOP Congress are vile human beings (so are a few of the dems). But, what we are experiencing is the fruition of the past forty years. We have ignored the problems of the globe at our own peril. We have tolerated inhumane (sometimes murderous) policies by our government, as long as the consequences did not touch our own lives. Consumerism and money has become the collective goal. Our culture values (even admires) greed and excess.

Think about it. Could we have a better personification of every loathesome quality of American culture? You couldn't find a better mascot for America's failures, insecurities, and neurosis then George W. Bush.

He is self-centered.

He is fearful.

He is short-sighted.

He is ignorant.

He is greedy.

He is paranoid.

He is vain.

He is the fears and short-comings of American culture PERSONIFIED. And, the GOP are the henchmen.

What outcome could your realistically expect of a culture that exists to consume and pursue instead of create and give? You still see it. I listen to 'liberals' who think that no amount of money is too much for one person to have. But, those who believe that fail to realize that those vast resources are had on the backs of the many. Wealth concentrated in such small amounts to so few has created a profound amount of suffering and poverty to the many.

Bush & Co. will disappear when the American perception changes to we instead of I. It will stop when everyone's suffering becomes our own. Bush & the rest of his henchmen are the manifestations of what we have created as a culture. Until America undergoes a mass perception change or enlightenment, we will just keep switching figure heads.

1. Bush is without a doubt a puppet
Cheney, on the other hand, is an integral part of a cabal of greedy, ruthless bastards. Bush is just the flavor of the moment. These guys have been around a long while and they will continue long after Bush is back in Crawford. Even more frightening is the fact that their next puppet will undoubtedly be more adept at handling the role.

2. Look for Mitt 'Plastic Ken Doll' Romney to be the next front man

He is PERFECT.

He will do & say ANYTHING to be President. He cares not a wit about the people. He just wants the power & the perks.

VILE.
