Liberal radio host Stephanie Miller wins over listeners with her sharp-wit

(One of Stephanie Miller's running jokes on her show is her list of "future husbands." Among them is Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold. She jokes that she'd like to marry him during her visit to Madison. She also has affection for the city. "People in Madison are against the war and they like to party; what's not to like?" she says.)

When Air America morning host Stephanie Miller brings her live radio show to the Barrymore Theatre on Friday from 8 to 11 a.m., expect the stage to tilt to the far left and her fans wanting liberal rants - with some comedy among the commentary.

"We're 'South Park' liberals," she says to her audience. "We make fun of everyone."

Still ... it's mostly President Bush and other Republicans who drive the humor and receive her anger. The show's subtitle is "Operation: Take Back America," she says by phone from Los Angeles.

It takes a sharp eye and experienced comedic team to recognize and organize the mayhem into bits, such as "Right-Wing World" and "Conspiracy Corner" with "Mission: Impossible" theme music. There are frequent playbacks of White House press briefings. Voice actor Jim Ward and Chris Lavoie assist with impersonations and banter.

I can't believe he doesn't go ape over them, the way he does Franken. they play tapes of his insane stuff all the time, and the voice guy does him just about perfectly.

I listen to Stephaine and her crew every morning. What an incredible show the do. I find myself laughing all the way to work. And sometimes I am naked in the shower.. oh wait, nevermind. :o

I swear since she came back on the air, (at the Los Angeles Air America affilate) I have found my spirits lifted noticeably. Of course the sphecter of a Libby/Rove indictment helps.
