A fact about Choicepoint
Edited on Mon May-15-06 04:15 PM by madaboutharry
Choicepoint also runs background checks on new employees. I recently reviewed a job application where it stated that a background check would be run by Choicepoint. This was for a very progressive company. I never filled it out because the available hours did not work into my time schedule. But, I was really rather disturbed by this information. The company is very involved in helping homeless and battered women and obviously has no clue about Choicepoint.

2. I used to work for a choicepoint partner
And we processed a lot of that data.

Mainly, it's:
1. Credit information
2. Police history
3. Duration of residence addresses

5. Not quite that detailed
Rough numbers about how much you owe, what your payments are, any deliquencies.

3. So how inaccurate was that ChoicePoint database ?
ChoicePoint submitted false DNA data according to Greg Palast's reporting on them

and this story by CSMonitor shows how background checks by a Republican-controlled company can be abused

Who is checking the background checkers?
