6. "A career-defining speech"...
...someone earlier today...on Hardball or Lou Dobbs, don't remember which...said that Bush will have to give a career-defining speech to get a bounce.

Tweety just asked Norah O'Donnell who Bush will be speaking to tonight. Without hesitation she said "His conservative base." Then she talked about Boehner's promise that no guest worker program is going to get passed until the 12 to 15 million illegals who are here right now are "sent back."

Bush has no intentions on sending anyone back.

He's doing this for two reasons...one, to please his contributors in big business. Two, to court the Latino vote.

Anyone thinking he's doing it for any other reason is seriously deluded.

8. Desparation...absolute desparation...
I'm convinced that the more these idiots come out to speak in public, the more desparate they are. They're sinking & they know it. They're doing their best "mind control" exercises by telling people that the polls are wrong, the economy is great, the war is going well, blah blah blah... As if saying it makes it so. We're ALL smarter than that.

In every conversation I have with anyone about politics, I just shake my head now and say something like, "How dumb do they think we are to believe all their crap?" or "Yeah, they've done such a great job running this country, haven't they..." in my most sarcastic voice...

9. They're acting just like folks here on DU
over the Rove "indictment" that was allegedly handed down - get this - over the weekend.

Oh, and Fitzgerald spent fifteen - count 'em - FIFTEEN hours over at Rove's attorney's office, making sure of ...... er. ...... something or other ...... before something else could take place...... or something.

Yeah, doesn't a frenzy make you chuckle? The media's just as goofy as people who believe these indictment stories.

14. Well, given his mangling of the English language, it doesn't surprise me.
Edited on Mon May-15-06 06:45 PM by BeHereNow
Every time he appears in a public broadcast, his
rambling rhetoric simply reinforces what every body knows.
The media is guilty of conspiring against we, the people.
Of course they are in a frenzy.
he is about to discredit them further.
"Guest worker program...blah,blah,blah...
terra,terra...national guard will protect our borders, balh, blah, blah...
We are winning the war....blah,blah,blah...The Iraqi people
are grateful...blah,blah,blah...the economic growth is promising...
jobs are plentiful, etc, etc, etc..."
and so forth.
The more they play the broken record that passes for the
voice of we, the people- the more ludicrous they look.
So yeah, the frenzy is understandable.
