"vanguard" (along with Lou, of course) in the immigration battle.

3. tancredo is an ignorant, bigoted blowhard, a complete embarrassment

to the state. although, come to think of it, this state also gave us james watt, gale norton, james dobson, ted haggard, amendment 2. . . . . it must be the lack of oxygen at these altitudes.

4. Tancredo's a real jerk.

He once had a big battle with the Denver Public Library because the Library made the mistake of stocking some books in *gasp* Spanish. Of course Tom jumped on that right away encouraging illegal immigration.

5. Then, when the Denver paper ran an add about an Hispanic

kid that excelled in school and was touted as a prodigy after entering the country years before as an infant illegally, Tom Tancredo immediately tried to get him deported. Anonymous benefactors subsequently helped get the kid to stay and put him through college.
