Okay, if you think TruthOut and RawStory are bogus,
please enlighten us as to your favorite (and supposedly) infallible news source.

Drudge? Foxnews.com? Yahoo News?

I am all ears. Or eyes, in this case.

1. Who said they are bogus?
I've seen rawstory accused of being a little loose with the truth (like Capital Hill Blue) but haven't seen truthout accused of such.

Link?

9. Okay, let me break this down.
"If you think TruthOut and RawStory are bogus" does not specify that someone has said that, I merely gave those who think so an opportunity to share.

So therefore, the ubiquitous "Link?" has no answer.

:hi:

10. Technically you're correct.
But if you're going to deal with me on an honest level then you cannot deny it was directed at someone with the implication being that someone was on this board.

2. no source is infallible
and I don't consider either Truthout or RawStory to be "bogus."

But as far as believing their stories, based only on the fact that the story is coming from them, I consider most other sources more reliable than them.

8. Sorry, I disgree. It's too early to say that.
If you read the articles, we won't know anything until later in the week. It's way too early to make any judgements.

6. Mostly here, DU LBN is a tremendous resource...
for tv news, I watch CBC.

I don't mind truthout, and have a great deal of respect for Will (except for his support of the Red Sox, there I think he's delusional).

rawstory can kiss my ass.

7. A lot of mainstream news outlets
I never read "liberal" or "rightwing" "news", as I don't consider it news. I consider it advocacy and opinion manufacturing masquerading as journalism.

I think there are a lot of folks here who think that these feeding frenzies based on irresponsible rumor mongering from self styled "news" reporters do far more damage to our cause than good.

We laugh at Newsmax, but then get oh so serious and infatuated with our own Newsmaxes, as long as they are spouting our line.
