2. I'm watching - he's on fire with this.
Edited on Mon May-15-06 08:22 PM by sparosnare
I never thought I'd see the day when I agree with him. He's doing a good job with this - playing that stupid song from the 80's, lol. (Somebody's Watching Me).

He said "We don't trust you with our phone records, medical records, etc....and from now on if you want to look at them, you have to get a court order."

"You certainly understand the danger of the government going through phone records of journalists every time they want to - the government would go unchecked by the media."

"If Nixon had done this, Watergate would never have happened".

(not exact words, but close).

28. Scarborough is the ONLY one I heard address this
tonight.

I think talking to Olbermann every night has shamed him. But even KO did not run with this tonight. I wonder why not?

Maybe you missed that part. I clearly recall him referencing it.

I won't linger on his slight criticism of Bush of late. Similar to the Tweety gets it posts. Next week this clown will be selling his soul for Bush again.

edit = spelling

5. Amazing... He's ranting!
If this had happened during the Nixon administration, Deep Throat would have been caught and we'd never have known about Watergate. Reporters will ditch their cell phones and go back to parking garages.

15. Moron is putting mildly
The asshat invoked 9-11 and started conjuring ghosts.
Whenever these republican stooges get cornered
they all start yelling 9-11 without rhyme or reason.

Ridiculous.

17. Some asshat Republican strategist
with his head up his behind. Other guy talks about how all other presidents have used national security as an excuse to do this shit. Problem of concentrated executive power. Scarborough isn't buying it, talks about how the Repubs didn't like it when Clinton tried to use exec power, but there's nothing this White House can do that seems to offend conservatives. Sounds like maybe Joe has pulled his head out of his ass on at least this issue.

21. had to be the TOTALLY UNCTUOUS Jack Burkman, repug
'strategist,' read PR whore

he's one of the oiliest creeps I've ever seen

he even said he'd support HILLARY's doing the same thing in 2009, under the "SAME" circumstances

hard break at that point didn't allow him to say more, but I sure would have loved to hear him squirm at JS's premise of the pugs NEVER being offended at ANYTHING Bush does

I was stunned he said that, cause that's the way HE used to be.

not saying he won't revert, but this was pretty shocking stuff

good for him. now, Joe, what happened to Lori?

27. Joe's misbehaving lately...we may yet find out what happened to Lori.
I think half of these talking heads that blather for Bush have some crime in their past that they have negotiated their way out of....embarrass yourself by spewing nonsense in defense of the indefensible and we will get you out of that murder charge. I often wonder what Tweety's done.

9. When they heard the NSA was keeping records
did they honestly think they were exempt? I don't get the outrage (I mean, beyond outrage at the mere fact of the NSA collecting the data.)

Does the term "slippery slope" not mean anything to these people?
