First mention of Rove indictment in msm: Msnbc.com
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12799420

A final word from Rove

(I can't copy any of the article because spybot always freezes my screen on msnbc pages: Blocking download of avenue a.)

To paraphrase:

At a meeting of democrats in detroit this weekend the speaker mentioned that the Dems thing Rove is already indicted. There were 700 people in the audience who gave that statement an immediate standing ovation, and Hilary Clinton was one of them.

If anyone can copy the article from there and post it here, it will be lots of fun.

It's the first mention in msm that Fitz served the indictment (or, we think he did) to Rove friday. It also said that the media is on high alert for signs of the announcement.

So, this is fun because no politicians will stand up for Rove and call us fools: Only his lawyer will do that, and we all know there's nothing a lawyer won't do.....

If just one GOP politician would stand up and refute the charges, I could let it rest. But until now, only silence.

I think it means everyone expects him to be indicted.

I hope someone here can open and copy the link. Thanks,
Sue

2. Worked fine for me.
WASHINGTON - Some Democrats have already celebrated the downfall of Karl Rove.

At a Michigan Trial Lawyers’ Association dinner Saturday night in Dearborn, Mich., the group's vice president Robert Raitt announced — according to the Detroit Free Press — that President Bush’s longtime strategist had just been indicted. The announcement reportedly prompted a standing ovation by the crowd of 700, which included Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Strange then that a relaxed-looking Rove – not indicted, not out on bail, and wearing a business suit, not orange prison garb -- was in person at the right-wing think tank, American Enterprise Institute Monday morning.

Rove was, as usual, nerdy in his use of statistics, and was chummy and flattering with the reporters present -- just like in 2000 when Bush was first running for president. At one point in the question-and-answer session Rove told National Public Radio’s Mara Liasson, “I love watching you on television.”

If Rove is indicted soon, as some Democrats hope and expect, then this may have been Rove’s valedictory message and the essence of it was: things are better than you, especially you in the mainstream news media, think.

5. Thanks! It always triggers my spybot and crashes.
The thing is this:

If this were a hoax, and Rove was really clear enough from indictment to make this an irresponsible claim, don't you think the GOP would swiftboat this right to hell? I mean, can you imagine all the self-righteous pontificating that would ensue? They'd trip over each other trying to label us all conspiracy theorists.

But what have the reich-wing politicians and pundits done? HIDE.

This is nuclear, it's so toxic. No one will touch this. No one will eve sit in the same room with it, because they all believe as we do that it's over for Rover.

I doubt MSNBC would print it or say it on air if it was imaginary, either.

Maybe TO has a few of the details wrong. Maybe it won't go down exactly as Leopold was told, but, just like the CBS AWOL papers, the point of it is true.

I just can't believe they'd let the sunday talk shows and 3 days of good tv time go without slamming us over the head with it, unless it's really going to happen.

....

There was only one reminder Monday of the investigation by special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald: Rove refused to answer a question from David Corn of the Nation magazine on whether he’s leaked information about former CIA employee Valerie Plame. “Nice try, though” he told Corn.
