Stephen Colbert in "Law&Order Criminal Intent"
Edited on Mon May-15-06 09:39 PM by Drum
Seriously!
Coming up at 11:05 on USA network (I'm in NYC)

Law & Order: Criminal Intent
USA
May 15 11:05pm, 60 Mins.
"The Saint"
An elderly woman's murder leads detectives to investigate the activities of a forger (Stephen Colbert) whose expertise is needed to verify documents proving the sainthood of a 19th-century healer named Brother Jerome.
(the above is from YahooTV listings)

Mr. Colbert's less-trumpeted dramatic side....

1. Thanks, Drum!
I've watched most of that ep in dribs and drabs at least twice, and never put two and two together.
Colbert is very good in this ep.

2. I watched it at 7
It's a good episode too. Colbert is actually a decent actor.

4. I think his "acting" skills are what help him stay in character!
It has to be hard to pretend to be O'Lielly's clone on his "The Corbert Report" show!

5. Oh yeah, no doubt
He is really just an entertainer, and a good one at that.

3. He was great. I think he could probably do well in any performance arts
venue out there.

I'm grateful he picked comedy, of the ironic sort, in which to shine.

I :loveya: Colbert. MKJ

6. Tough choice tonight...
...Colbert on Law & Order 11pm est, or his own show at 11:30pm est.

But, on an easier call(reading material) - he's mentioned in an article about comedians getting acting parts in tv shows....

...For many TV fans, NBC's long-running "Law & Order" franchise conjures up images of perverts and murderers, wisecracking detectives and self-important district attorneys trying to put the bad guys in jail.
But guest-starring roles for Stephen Colbert, Lewis Black and "Saturday Night Live" regulars such as Darrell Hammond too...?

In dramatic switch, comics hope you won't laugh

8. See, I saw this a few months ago...
...and kept waiting for the punchline.

I guess he was actually good, but I was expecting political satire. ;-)
