Natalie Allen on MSNBC just interviewed the two guys from Ramadi by telephone, and asked one of them at the end about wanting to come home.

He stuttered a little and gave a very weird answer, pro-Army - I wonder if they've already been busted a little bit for the vid.

At a minimum they'll probably get a NJP (non-judicial punishment) and depending on the Rank of the Officier (Major and above can give some really strict penalities) money, rank can be taken and extra time can be added to your contract.

Ramadi sucked in 2004/2005 when I was there, riding on MSR Michigan and Mobile fucking death sentence, IEDs always in the same "areas" and little to do other than ride around and get blown up!
Fuck I hated that place...

"Don't trust reporters." Meaning: They're sneaky and all want to get a quote from you bad mouthing Bush or the Corps or the mission.
"Don't discuss operations, fatalities, troop morale with your family." Meaning: Let them continue to blissfully believe everything is okey-dokey, that Bush is sure a swell average Joe. :puke:

18. This is my husband's unit

He is not in Ramadi, but part of his unit is there and he knows the soldiers in it. I saw it right after they made it. As far as I know, no one has been disciplined at all, it is being embraced as putting a human face on the people trying to do their job.

Glad to see them get some recognition out of this looong deployment. They are due to leave soon.

23. Just got an e-mail from FRG

MSNBC is going to interview them again and Jay Leno is going to feature it on The Tonight Show on Thursday night. It will be an all military audience and evidently found it from the first MSNBC interview. This thing is really blowing up! (no pun intended)

I didn't realize until I watched it again that I have talked to one of their wives a lot. Didn't make the connection because I haven't met him, only her.
