1. I was going to incorporate this into
an original OP, but I'm too lazy. This is only 300 dead from equalling the total number of people lost in the Twin Towers.

This would be a sock stuffed in the mouth of any Freep or puke who is always saying, 2,400 troops is not a great number of casualties. But oh, how they love to point out how many died in 9-11.

Check and mate.

It's more quiet than Iraq, but note that Afghanistan is not become more stable since it is a democracy and liberated.

5. Afghanistan a democracy?
No, it isn't. It's feudal and only small parts of Kabul are safe.

7. Much more than that. Private security contractors are not counted.
Deaths of mercenaries are kept secret by their employers. There are over 40 private security firms operating in Iraq. There are estimated 25,000-145,000 private contractors in Iraq. Nobody is really sure how many. Although, many of these security contractors are Americans. There are around 9000 South African, and another 2000 or so Ugandan security contractors. Lotsa British and French nationals. Lot of criminal element from east Europe too. All have ex-military backgrounds from their respective nations, and in many cases they are wanted men. They are getting paid a lot too. Anywhere from $10,000 to $60,000 per month, depending on deployment length and/or location.

I've seen lot of amateur videos from Iraq. Trust me, these guys are getting "offed" in record numbers.

Here is an example from BBC. Iraq, Fallujah:

French nationals killed in Iraq

9. Yet you'd hardly know there's a war on
We never see their faces, we never see the 18,000 wounded soldiers either. And we never see the faces of the 50,000 plus dead innocent Iraqis. The nation makes war, selling and covering it up at the same time. Sell the war, but don't show it on t.v. Bush is always concerned about the bad stuff they show on t.v. about his little war. As if showing the horror somehow helps the enemy and hurts our troops.

What a freak show.
