New Plan - The SACRED Option
Series of Actions to make the Christian Right End their Destruction

"Bush’s most influential conservative Christian allies are becoming openly critical of the White House and congressional GOPers. They’re threatening to withhold their support in November unless Congress does more to oppose same-sex marriage, obscenity and abortion."
http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/news/politics/14587812.htm

It's quite obvious what we have to do.

The 'christian' Right has given the GOP that little kick that it needs to win, we focus on them and stopping the 'moral' agenda, then we will surely win.

The SACRED Option is simply a plan where we will spend as much energy and resources as needed to further 'christian' Right dissatisfaction with the GOP.

1. That is an interesting idea but...
It is not really morality that motivates the leadership of the Fundies but money.
All that is required of the Repugs is lip service to those moral positions and in the end the leaders will endorse a Repug over the democratic every time as Long as the money still flows from the taxpayer to them in the form of faith based initiative.
Take some time some time no matter how hard it is to listen to the preachers on TV. It is all about money and wealth and they will vote there pocket book.
Secondly I don't believe that even if all the committed Fundies voted for the repugs and the progressives and the young people came out in force that they could beat us in numbers. It is in this case that the rethugs need to steel the election as they did in 00 and 04.
But if enough of the right wingers stay home it would make it harder to steal the election and not have it noticed.

2. I am not so sure that'll work.
Fundies are threatening to not vote, but they will NOT go so far as to vote Dem. Their attitude is "We'll show them. If they don't appease us and our agenda, we'll just let them lose to the dems while we sit at home and watch".

A little counterproductive, but we are talking about freepers after all.

3. The Christianists are sounding like the Logjam Republicans
The Logjam Republicans declared they wouldn't endorse Bush... but they wouldn't endorse Kerry, either.

Yeah...

That'll show 'em!
