AT&T and the Eunuch Congress.
Called AT&T on Saturday and asked (1) for a copy of my privacy agreement, and (2) if AT&T gave my phone records to the Bush Administration. The responses (paraphrased):

(1) "AT&T cooperates with all lawful government requests for information," and (2)"AT&T cooperates with all lawful government requests for information" Yeah, I know, the second response was identical to the first. The person with whom I spoke sounded as if she was reading off a script, so I suppose they had a lot of calls.

The catchword here is lawful. I wonder if AT&T is pushing accountability off onto the US Congress and eventually the courts, who will have to decide whether or not what the NSA did was "lawful." Considering the progress thus far, it seems the the Congressional incompetence is working in favor of AT&T.

Anyway, I'll receive a copy of my agreement in 5 to 7 business days.
