if the Dems had majority in the Senate, do you think Alito would pass? |

All you QUITTERS who are already crucifying the Dems for something they havnt done yet, really need to understand that by quitting now, you are cementing the fate of the United States.
There is NO FUCKING WAY he would pass if the Dems had control of the Senate.
I think it would be safe to assume you are all applying to move to Canada or Europe as we speak.
By voting Green party or not voting Democratic you are just handing the USA to the Republicans on a silver platter.
I hope all of you can get past your emotions and THINK.

When a party/platform represents their interests, they generally do.

11. Too often when they do vote, their votes aren't counted or |

are switched. Welcome to the Diebold Republic.

4. People are so quick to jump ship to the Greens, |

but they'll rag on people who voted for Nader in 2000 until the sun falls out of the sky. What's up with that?

6. AMEN! Exactly my thoughts! |
|
And if Nader had supported the Dems, we wouldn't be neededing a filibuster! We need to hang together now more than ever. We should be supporting those that agree with us and encouraging those with whom we disagree to change. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!

But the Dems don't have the majority and the only thing that they can do is to filibuster, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen either.
So, not only do the Republicans already have the USA on a silver platter, they will now have complete control of all 3 branches of the government when Alito is finally confirmed, and that confirmation is only a few days away.
Now is the time for parents to explain to their children that when they are strip searched in school, that it's okay as far as the SCOTUS is concerned. And when the administration starts making up laws without the input of Congress, perhaps then it will become apparent what is really happening.

13. Of course not. And if the Dems controlled the White House... |
|
he would not have been nominated.
That's why winning elections is so important.

Even though the dems don't control the senate doesn't mean they shouldn't have the balls to be tougher in their questioning of Alito, or dare I say, filibuster. It's totally understandable that some of us are fed up with these democrats. They are absolute cowards.
