given detailed information by sources about Friday action at Rove's lawyers' office

marathonn session took place. entire fourth floor was locked down....he says he heard this TODAY! plea negs going on, rejected outright. at end of session rove was given envelope with indictment, told he had 24 hours to get affairs in order

says he corroborated with all his sources, then went with it

thought it was going to break in the Post, NY Times, cause it was too big a story to keep under wraps

10. yesterday at AEI speech, only ONE reporter asked rove about

the story

how come?

Ed: he saw the press conference. are they AFRAID of him, or do they not believe the story?

JL: I think it's both.

Ed: you confirmed with 2 sources and felt confident it was true

JS: more than 2 sources. talked with KnightRidder, NBC, and one other, who each has one source, and won't run it without another

JS: I was not being duped, and there will be an announcement this week. Rove backers say Fitz was in chicago Friday, not DC. JS is trying to find out where he was

how hard is THAT?

also talking about Luskin/cat story. where was HE? with his cat?

Ed: surprised that there's somebody that close to Rove/Luskin that he can provide such detail. If you're lying, this will catch up to you.

JS: I know. I'm just trying to get the story out here

Ed: we're all looking for credit, all want to be perceived as professionals

JS: I've been through worse, and don't need this. We believe this to be true. That's why we went with this story

Ed: would you give bloggers the finger now, if you could?

JS: wish I had more hands, so I could give more fingers
