What if Bush had announced confiscation of all property
of business-owners who hired undocumented workers?

and a mandatory 1 yr (no early-out) sentence for EACH undocumented worker hired?

and a $500 "bounty" for each boss turned in?(the company would continue to operate , so jobs would not be lost)

and the money spent to use guard troops was used to beef up the border patrol instead

Would that have "pleased" both sides?

1. Good plan,
but it would not have pleased the real masters. I think it still boils down to corporate entities wanting cheap labor, and corporate entities are really running this show now.

2. Don't ya think that most those business-owners gave junior

I do like your plan.

3. It wouldn't have pleased the elites...
and that's the only "side" that matters.

4. if they aren't hired, they won't risk life and limb to come. I don't
really blame desperate people trying to find something better. All of our ancestors came here for that. I blame the slave owners who hire these people and exploit the crap out of them. put them all in prison. (the business freaks)

5. Brilliant plan - never happen. I am fairly new to politics. Katrina
brought me here, but the first thing I noticed Bxsh do in response to it was rescind the Davis-Bacon act. He wasted not one second showing his hand there (he later reversed himself - the ONLY thing I've seen him do "right").
Well, at least his base is getting riled up, so his plan is workin' in that regard...
BTW, haven't seen that "error" thing before (new to computers, as well). Had me pushin' buttons and looking for smoke drifting out the back of my monitor!!

6. What if * announced the confiscation of all property,
period? Oh wait all the property is owned by the State. Just try missing a property tax payment or declaring you no longer feel yourself tied to a document ratified by wealthy angry english "gentlemen" 225 years ago...
