Bush Slumps to a New Low -- It's All About Iraq

Analysis By GARY LANGER

May 16, 2006 — George W. Bush's job approval rating has slumped to 33 percent, tying the all-time low for presidential approval in the 25 years of ABC News/Washington Post polls. Sixty-five percent disapprove, a new high.

The war in Iraq — try as he might to change the subject — is the reason.

Americans who disapprove of Bush's performance overwhelmingly cite Iraq as the main reason. His rating for handling the war has hit a new low. Sixty-two percent say the war was not worth fighting, a new high. And 59 percent call the war a mistake — about as many as said that about Vietnam in the early 1970s.

the bumbling puppet..the neocon agenda would not have been accomplished...obviously chimpie was fed lots of b.s. of greatness & power...only for it to blow up in his face...worst president in history...yes, the elections had to be stolen in order to place this idiot in power and let 9/11 happen and invade Iraq and so on...just so pathetic that people in the U.S. are really that stupid to not catch on...amazing isn't it?

10. They cite the war in Iraq. Is that why Dem leaders won't mention Iraq?
It is so crazy. Dean, Pelosi, all the rest should be harping on this day and night. Insisting that they will bring the troops home. Cut off funding for the war, except for costs of safe trip home for the troops. but no.

They are busy saying they won't impeach bush, which is probably the second most popular (and altogether most correct) position to take.
