If Alito lied about the little things
then why wouldn't he lie about everything else?

We impeached a president because he 'lied'. I can't see how you can confirm someone to a lifetime appointment on the SC who exhibits the same behavior.

2. So what. Republicans are loyal to party, not country.
Not honor, not ethics, not the constitution. Party and party alone.

These days, there's a real difference.

4. Looks like many Democrats are too
DINOs could care less- and that's why much of the public perceives the Dems as just as corrupt as the Republicans.

Given a choice between what appear to be two corrupt parties- a lot of people are going to vote for the one that looks strongest and stands up for its principles.

No one likes cowards- and as a party, that's the perception the Dems keep putting forth.

If they punt of Alito, you can pretty much stick a fork in them for 2006.

5. Your statement is not a reply to mine.

DINOs are not loyal to party, either.

And I'm oddly suspicious of defeatist statements at this time.

6. It's realism, not defeatism

And I'm saying that DINOs who choose to vote for this man have no honor, integrity or loyalty to the constitution either. They're no better than Republicans in this regard.

That's a fair statement- (and no, unlike Republicans- they're not loyal to party- and that's why they lose). My prediction has been (for months now) that if the Dems punt this one- it's pretty much over this year. They'll have sold out and and demoralized their base- and they'll have given the fence sitters and those who are often inclined to stay home no reason to vote for them.

3. You have it all wrong, it is not the lies that are wrong.
They impeached Clinton because he had oral sex with a woman and what did that teach our children.
If lies were important bu$h would have bee locked up long before now, Delay would be in prison and all the other criminals would be out of Washington.
So Alito lying is just following the pattern.
