Did Kennedy get the CAP records??
I'm watching the battle off with Kennedy and Specter and was wondering if Kennedy ever got those records?

1. the records were given to "panel staffers" late last night
and they stayed up all night going through them--no mention of Alito, they said, and that was that.

3. He puffed his resume to get a job--pure and simple
He listed also the Federalist society. Remember "suck up, kick down."

4. he said nothing when Specter announced it this a.m.
so I suppose he's ok with it.

We don't need any records. The point is he was proud of belonging to a hateful organization and bragged about belonging at the age of 35. That's bad enough.

5. They were released per Rusher...
...and yeah, I think they got access the other night.

Call me cowardly, but I think going the subpoena route was over the top. A reporter had gotten access to them not too long before, and I'm sure there could've been access given to any member of the committee had they asked for them (subpoena would've been unnecessary).

6. Specter said background check found everything "in order"
Right after they returned from the exec session.
