Remember; with the right to abortion goes the right to contraception.
I don't think that it gets mentioned enough, but the Right believes that all contraception causes "silent abortions", and if you now depend on any form of birth control, you had better be prepared for it being criminalized!

Wasn't Griswold also decided on the basis of privacy, just as Roe was?

You might be very right. Besides, when the theocrats outlaw abortion they certainly won't stop there.

11. yes, on privacy. That's why RWers always say "there is NO right to privac
privacy in the Constitution!"

If they get rid of Roe, they can get rid of Griswold and vice versa.
Santorum, that sanctimonious prick, talks about overturning Griswold often.

12. You're right...they won't stop until the USA is like the Georgia I grew up
in, where everything is illegal and very little is enforced. The laws forbidding abortion will be just as spectacularly successful as the laws outlawing the sale of marijuana. The only bright spot is that the howling mobs of blockheads who now stalk abortion clinics will disband in happy satisfaction, and go back to commiting incest and burning heretics, just as God intended. O, the blessings of a theocratic society...just ask an Iranian. :puke:

Where is your compassion? :sarcasm:

I have six nieces. I'll be goddammed if I roll over for this one.

I remember when abortions where illegal. And swear, those girls will NEVER have to go through that, never.

16. My theory is, Republican men don't get much now anyway.
That's why that one study reported Republicans being more satisfied with their sex lives than Democrats -- if a Republican guy has two kids, and has had sex twice, he thinks his sex life is perfect.

I think Repub men are scared silly their wives may fool around if contraceptives and/or abortions are available.

14. Alito/Roberts will take us right back to the 50's & 60's.
Back street abortions while those with money will have them in their doctors offices. I remember 'coat hanger' abortions. The were not that rare.
