5. WE CAN NEVER DISINFECT WASHINGTON WITH LIEBERMAN DOWN THERE |
|
Edited on Thu May-18-06 09:11 PM by billbuckhead
:puke: I'll never forgive Joementum for his sorry performance in the VP debate with Cheney. It sounded like Lieberman was applying for a job at Halliburton. I swear that this debate cost us the election cause Liebermans asskissing performance made Cheney look like a kindly grandfather instead of an aspiring war criminal and traitor.
In fact, I think if this debate "performance" was widely viewed, no Dem or indy would vote for Joe.

8. Always remember, Joe was elected by the RIGHT WING in Connecticut. |
|
He was put up as a conservative against Sen. Lowell Weicker in 1988 -- Weicker is a liberal going back to the Watergate days when he was the only Republican on the Senate Watergate Committee that stuck it to the Nixon Administration. Weicker's questions were often more penetrating and ultimately damaging that those of the Democrats on the Committee.
I don't live in Connecticut, but I'd be willing to bet that the insurance companies and financial institutions in Connecticut put old Joe up as a conservative alternative to Weicker, turning the conventional Rep. vs. Dem. paradigm on its head.
And didn't I hear that Weicker has endorsed Lamont?

It's a common practice to make promotional DVDs for non-profits as well.

23. From DailyKos: Support Lamont, make Al From cry |
|
"A very simple thing happened that changed Democratic politics dramatically, and that was that the war turned bad," Mr. From said, adding of the senator's critics: "There's a group in our party that makes a lot of noise and I don't think they've ever won an election. They're trying to take out one of the great statesmen our party has and that's wrong."
