Yay!!! "colbertian" is now a real world
I, TexasLawyer aka KatieOh!, hereby officially unveil the brand new adjective "colbertian." The word is now up on UrbanDictionary.com, link below. I am very excited to see that "colbertian" has passed through the rigorous editing and assuredly non-colbertian dictionary review process-- and has finally "made it"!

I submitted the definition to UD right after the Washington Correspondents' Dinner, but my definition has only recently been published on the site as an official word.

Visitors to the site are supposed to indicate, by way of thumbs-up or thumbs-down, whether they approve of the definition. My first vote was a thumbs down-- WAH! (Probably the NSA guy who's monitoring my internet activity and who does NOT like the colbertian way I roll! :sarcasm: )

Anyway-- visit "colbertian", vote it up, add to the definition, add new words to UrbanDictionary, have fun! (and look up "Republican").

1. colbertian 1 thumb down

adjective
--a state of cocksure audacity, brilliantly brash and of breathtakingly behemothic gonadal proportion.

Origin-- This word was coined following Stephen Colbert's perfomance at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Dinner, April 29, 2006, where Mr. Colbert, using brilliant wit and biting satire, had the courage to prove that Emperor George Bush had no clothes and that the entire Washington press corp was asleep at the switch.

Mr. Colbert's demonstration of testicular fortitude-- his brazen display of juevos grandes-- has certainly earned him the right to his own English language adjective. COLBERTIAN

His perfomance last night was not just stunning, one could only call it colbertian!

With colbertian vigor, we lifted the yoke of oppression and retook the great land that once was ours.

4. Resolved: to use 'colbertian' in a spoken sentence today.
Now, should I say 'col-bare-shun' or 'col-bare-tee-un?' Pronunciation guide, please.

6. Precisely why I spelled it 'bare.'
Because, well, you know. Bears are godless killing machines.

10. So does that mean that there is a Colbertianism?
Or a group that has the philosophy of big balls rule?
