Are Americans really just trembling cowards? |
|
That seems to be the only conclusion I can arrive at when I see so many of my fellow citizens willing to give up so many freedoms in order to be "protected from the evil-doers who wish to do us harm" So that swagger and puffed chest is really just a ridiculous attempt to hide the true fraidy cat of the American psyche? Just beautiful...the 98 pound weakling of the world.

11. People are more afraid of the government than "the terrorists" |
|
Otherwise you would see "Impeach WarCriminal" everywhere along with "Free Cannabis For Everyone". People live in fear of government.

Most of the sniveling cowards seem to live in places that would probably never see an attack - dusty little suburbs and mobile home parks in the south and midwest. Places that nobody cares about, least of all a big bad turrist.
The ones really in the target zone don't seem to be pissing in their boots. Interesting, really.

we have been systematically castrated by this administration. Orange alerts, duct tape, and sightings of Al Zarquari or bin Laden. We were saps, and our energy has been sapped.

3. I Went Camping In New Hampshire And Vermont The Summer After 9/11... |
|
and I was astounded at how frightened were some of the people I met. I live in Manhattan about a mile from ground zero. I witnessed the burning towers from the roof of my building. I wasn't scared after 9/11 -- at least not of "terrorists."
I said shortly after 9/11 that the true tragedy was not the event itself, but our response to it. Here we are living it daily.

The more comfy people are, the more frightened they are of losing it.
People who have nothing, fear nothing: they have nothing to lose.
Americans are a very comfy people... don't know for how long, though... and certainly, not all of us...

7. Americans are hypnotized by television screens . . . |
|
for many, what they seen on the tube IS their reality . . . if it's on the tv news, it must be true . . . and, conversely, if it's NOT on the tv news, it must be a "conspiracy theory" or something equally suspicious . . . and since the content of tv news is artfully managed by major corporations to seduce viewers into the kind of realities they (the corporations) desire, it's understandable why we're in the state we're in . . . it's all based on corporate propaganda, and it's working . . .

8. "Red State America" is. |
|
That is to say that people who voted for * are scared. That includes Bush voters in Blue States. But those who are the most scared are from the south and the rural areas. The same areas that are the least likely to be hit with a horrific terrorist attack. New Yorkers are not afraid. I commend these proud Blue State Patriots.

seem to be the most scared of all.
Since the plane flew into the Pentagon and another one supposedly in the air and on the way to a DC landmark those that wear the crowns are for the first time ever targets of people that intend to kill them.
The sweaty stinking fear from our gallant leaders is the only successful trickle down stuff to come out of Washington.

15. Some are scared, but they are angry |
|
and many are mentally ill (the rapturites). They want to end the world.
The corporate media spin on "no attacks since 9-11" also doesn't help educate the masses.
