A way to put RWers, esp. the well to do, on the spot.
I noticed that in my area, where support for * and the R party is certainly higher than anywhere I've ever lived, and the median income is high, I know pretty much no one who has been to Iraq, or had their kid go there, serving in the U.S. military.

Excluding a few people who were already in the reserves and were activated and sent there. Pretty much all of those are in the lower income bracket of the people I know here.

I think a reasonable question is "Do you personally know anyone who is in Iraq or has served in this current Iraq war?" And if they say they do, and it smells like B.S., immediately follow up by asking the name of their friend or acquaintance.

1. I would just add, "and working for halliburton, kbr, etc, as a hired
contract killer/mercenary pretending to be an engineer does NOT count, especially when they are swindling us out of billions"

2. I do.
We've had many in our area go over and serve. It sucks. There was an article in the paper this last week on one of the elementary teachers getting a goodbye party from his kids since he'd been called up. I saw the recruiters hard at work today when I passed the recruiting center, too.

3. In other words... put your money
where your mouth is. Put up or shut-up. Have YOUR kid sign up and go. I don't know if you CAN talk to them. They seem wholly unreasonable. You can't reason with them any more than you could the terrorists. We, Dems, are caught in the middle of a Holy War. Muslims VS Christians Our Fanatic Right against their Fanatic Right....(I'd guess Radical Muslims are 'Rightists'?) Anybody else know if the terrorists are left or right? hummmmm?
