Disappointed by Americablog

This just happened. I was offend by what John in DC the webmaster of Americablog posted as his headline regarding Sen. Roberts.'GOP Senator Pat Roberts is a big girl
by John in DC - 5/19/2006 03:00:00 PM'. 'Senator Pat Robert (R-KS) is nothing more than a big girl.'

Being a girl myself, I asked him why he would call a scumbag a girl, and I called him an Asshat. He scrubbed that post. I again asked him why he would do that, I asked him if he hated us (meaning girls). That was all it took. The following resulted.

I am so disappointed. I visit that blog everyday and I have told others how great it is. I know that I am insignificant in his giant blog world, but I never thought I would be banned because I expressed my opinion about his prejudice (an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics)

2. I read Americablog every day, and I also thought

that headline was out of line.

Try not to take it personally, though. I'm not defending John A. but maybe you just got him on a really, really bad day.

I was irrationally upset. :blush: I went back and read through the posts, they made me feel better.

What is ironic is that I just had a conversation with my 16 year old son yesterday, about using derogatory terms, like equating girl to coward or weakness. I told him "It might not seem like a big deal to you, but when you use those terms it is disrespectful to women." He really understood when I asked him if he would like it if someone called me or the other females in his life cowards or weak. He said he would be mad. He got it.
