Alert DUer Helps Solve Unexplained Gator Attacks in Florida
<snip>

AP--ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla.-- Florida State Parks and Wildlife officials credit a local Palm Beach resident and active member of Democratic Underground with helping solve the recent rash of front entrance, giant gator attacks at the homes of registered Democrats in the state of Florida. "Apparently it's yet another voter disenfranchisement scheme orchestrated by the GOP and known 9-11 associates," said Bill Roberson, an alligator behavioral scientist employed with the Parks Department. "Thanks to the photographic evidence provided by one of our vigilant local DUer citizens, we've made an arrest and shut down Al Qaeda Pies, whose pizza delivery customers have been mysteriously disappearing...

1. This may be a stupid question but I've seen that photo before and
have tried to figure out if it is real. Gators have made their way into houses and with the destruction of habitat and the growth of these things they seem to be all over.

2 (or 3 ) dead women last week. One last year. I think they should have lottery and allow a small percentage of people to hunt them. Now they have "alligator farms" to provide alligator meat. That is like living in a chicken coup and getting your chickens from the supermarket.

2. It seems to be a habitat squeeze related problem...
...I think state officials have decided to cull the gator population a bit---before the gators do anymore culling.

6. It's genuine
Apparently that gator was actually banging it's head against the door, literally knocking on it.

14. Did you view the link?
And if that one isn't good enough for you, here's a few more, although the one above was the only one with a picture, hence why I chose it.

I'm not exactly sure why you find that so difficult to believe. Alligators are in fact very limber, fast, and agile creatures when they want to be and with all the destruction of their habitat they are running out of places to go.

20. I just realized that the other gator at the door was in Bonita Springs
Edited on Sat May-20-06 01:47 PM by Maraya1969
where my mother lives and one town down from me.

I never wanted to live by a pond or lake because I have always had little dogs and I am afraid that they would be lunch for some alligator. There are streams in back of the houses across the street and that does not make me very happy right now.

Where the rainy season ended lat year and the water in my front ditch subsided I literally found a dead full grown cat fish. It must have swum through the water concrete roundy thingies that go under the ground. It was about 8 inches long.

This place freaks me out.
