Looking for something really, really different in a political candidate this year?
Take a gander at Jonathon (The Impaler) Sharkey, who will launch his gubernatorial campaign in Princeton, Minn., on Friday the 13th as a "satanic dark priest" and the leader of the "Vampyres, Witches and Pagans Party."

Since there's nothing but a $300 filing fee to stop anyone from running for statewide office, campaigns in Minnesota typically attract colorful and eccentric characters looking for attention. And of course, former Gov. Jesse Ventura broke the mold and got elected. But Minnesota may never have seen a more outside-the-box politician than the Impaler, also a former pro wrestler.

The sad thing is, Minnesota has already elected one pro-wrestler as governor. Sad day and age we live in.

....especially where he talks about his first, second, third, etc wives and how he accidentally had sex with his half sister. this dude is nuts.

i don't mind his harsh punishments for terrorists, rapists, and child molesters. my heart doesn't bleed for them. while i'm not for the death penalty, ya gotta admit, seeing the governor mete out capital punishment by impalement would certainly be different. cowards like bush just used to sign the death warrants and let others do the dirty work.

and he's got some harsh punishment for repeat DUI offenders. wow....cheney and chimpy better stay outta minn if this guy gets elected, they have about 6 DUI convictions between them.

and he's running for president in 2008! maybe he's the anti-christ. if so, would all the fundies vote for him to usher in armageddon?
